"Those people are always watching us Andrew even Elaine. Even that stupid Agent of yours, we are all at a dead end, one of us is going to die and it's not going to be me," Mae said firmly.
Marcus's jaw dropped as he heard Mae's words. So they were being watched, even him. It only further confirmed his suspicions that this was more than just a simple attack, that this was a carefully planned and executed scheme. But who was behind it all, and why were they watching everyone involved?
His thoughts raced as he tried to put the pieces together in his mind. It was all connected somehow, he just couldn't see how yet. He had to keep digging, to keep searching for clues until he could finally unmask the mastermind behind this sinister plot.
"Elaine started the game at my birthday party, I will finish it. Those people will," Mae said.
Marcus's heart skipped a beat as he heard Mae's ominous words. This was bigger than he had imagined, a game that had been started and now needed to be finished. He needed to find out more about this game, and what role I had unwittingly played in it.
But more importantly, he needed to find out who these "people" were that Mae was referring to. Who was behind it all, pulling the strings and watching over everything? He couldn't shake the feeling that the answer to all of this was right in front of him, he just couldn't see it yet.
"Elaine was a bully, yes but she doesn't deserve death we both know it Mae, you need to tell these people to stop," Andrew also spoke firmly.
Marcus's mind was racing as he heard Andrew and Mae's conversation. It seemed like Andrew was trying to talk sense into Mae, to get her to see that the violence and threats had gone too far. But who were these people that they were talking about, and how far would they be willing to go to finish this "game" as Mae had called it?
Marcus was on the verge of jumping out and revealing himself, to try and put an end to this madness right here and now. But he knew he couldn't do that yet, that he needed more information first. He needed to stay hidden, to keep listening and try to piece together the bigger picture.
"It's not hard to figure out who those people are Andrew just think who Elaine was close to in the past," Mae told him.
Marcus's ears perked up at Mae's words. Were there people from my past who were involved in this? People who I had once been close to me and who now wanted me dead? The thought filled him with a mixture of anger and dread.
His mind raced as he tried to think of who these people could be. Was there someone from my past who held a grudge, someone who had once been a friend but had now turned into an enemy? He clenched his jaw, feeling frustrated and helpless at his lack of information and understanding.
"Mae don't play these games with me, who is it?" Andrew grabbed Mae.
Marcus tensed as he saw Andrew grab ahold of Mae, his eyes locked onto them as he watched the scene unfold. He could see the anger and frustration written all over Andrew's face, and he could tell that tensions were reaching a boiling point.
"Ask Sam," Mae said with a smile.
Andrew was confused "Sam is dead," He said confusingly.
"You are right," she said before she pulled the knife out of his chest before walking away.
Marcus watched in horror as Mae pulled the knife out of Andrew's chest and walked away. He couldn't believe what he had just seen, the shock and disbelief coursing through his body. This was not just a simple game or prank anymore, this was real and dangerous.
His mind was racing as he tried to process what had just happened. He had to act fast, to get to Andrew and stop the bleeding before it was too late. But he also needed to catch up to Mae, to find out more about this mysterious "game" and who was really behind it all.
Marcus quickly made his way out of the classroom and out into the hallway. He looked around, searching for any sign of Mae, but she was nowhere to be seen. He swore under his breath, angry at himself for letting her getaway.
He had to think fast. He couldn't let her get away with what she had done, couldn't let her continue to play this dangerous game. He knew he had to catch up to her and get the truth out of her, even if it meant resorting to drastic measures.
Marcus's eyes widened as he saw Andrew crawling down the hallway, leaving a trail of blood behind him. He rushed over to him, dropping down to his knees beside him. He quickly assessed the situation, trying to stay calm and in control. Andrew was bleeding heavily, but he was still alive. Marcus quickly applied pressure to the wound, trying to stem the flow of blood.
"Go after her, she is more dangerous than everyone thinks, protect Elaine. She is in danger," Andrew said breathlessly.
Marcus looked at Andrew, torn between wanting to stay and help him and going after Mae. But as he saw the urgency and desperation in Andrew's eyes, he knew what he had to do. He had sworn to protect me and he had failed me once already. He couldn't fail me again.
"I am already dead Pike, go and save Elaine before she ends up like me as well," Andrew said before his body went limp. Marcus felt his heart sink as he saw Andrew's body go limp. He knew that there was nothing he could do for him now, that his focus had to be on finding and stopping whoever was behind this mess.
He quickly pulled out his phone and called his team, informing them of Andrew's death and the situation at the high school. They promised to send backup and a medical team to secure the building and take care of Andrew's body.
