Hope walked towards Derek and grabbed his butt while kissing his collarbones and finished off with licking it. " I feel very violated right now-", says Derek  (Hope chuckles while she tries to go lower but he holds her in place to stop her).

"I cant help myself if you're looking like the devils favourite nephew " (she chuckles along with him and proceeds to hug him tightly and stays in his embrace for a while sighing when she separates herself from him)

Derek knows how nervous Hope gets whenever they have to visit his mom because the woman left no stone unturned in showing her how much she disliked Hope and always thought he could do better than some college sweetheart whose family is not as well off as their family is, and always tried to make him get together with Neline who in her eyes was the perfect fit.

"I love you and there's nothing my mother can say to change that ok, trust me if I wanted Neline I would have gone for her a long time ago but I didn't because I didn't want her and I have you by my side because I want you, okay?" He tried to reassure her while massaging her temples to try and alleviate some of her stress.

"Okay." She answered grateful for his attempt  to make her relax but still feeling reluctant to go visit his mother but knew it had to happen. Derek starts attacking her with kisses all over her face while simultaneously tickling her, making her have an uncontrollable fit of giggles.

"Hello my beautiful son...oh you brought her along", said Mrs Hale with a glare in her stare and a bitterness in her tone but all those were directed to Hope because she gave her son a warm embrace and kept her hold on him creating physical distance between the couple.

"Who were you expecting him to bring to our engagement dinner dear mommy in law", Hope replied with a big smile on her lips but her eyes screamed all the malicious thoughts she was having about Mrs Hale at the moment.

Derek just removed himself from his mom, took Hope's hand in his right hand went to take his mom in his left hand and led them both to the table where his brother was situated with his husband and three children.

"Hello everyone how are my favourite people doing" Derek greeted as he was busy pulling chairs for both women to sit in the order they came in.

"Hey bro we're all good although I know the statement about favourite people was more directed towards the kids" his brother Nathan replied while acting like he was consoling his husband Timothy trying to lighten up the mood.

"It was only directed at the kids but if that's what makes you snooze off at night..." Derek  finishes off with a shrug and they all chuckled but Mrs Hale didn't even fake a grin.

The dinner went as well as expected with Derek constantly on guard, trying to change the topic whenever Mrs Hale was trying to attack Hope so that he does not have to speak ill of or to anyone and his brother in law Tim and his nephews and niece definitely got the memo and helped out wherever they could.

When they reached home Hope was so not in a good mood because even though Derek did his best by intervening before things escalated but her future momster in law had a nasty comment anytime she was starting to enjoy herself until she was just done and impatiently waiting to go home.

"That was not that bad right babe,"

"Sure it could have gone worse, I could've snatched your moms implants right out her breasts and fed them to her"

"Oh come on Hope at least she didn't invite Neline nor did she comment on your outfit or your family's absence that's a start right babe...

(he kisses her neck while walking her to their bed and mumbled) come on you're looking too delicious to be sulking right now, I don't even know why I bother answering her on your behalf when you're way scarier than the both of us combined"

He turns her around and lures her into a heated make out session going out of his way to make her all hot and bothered, hopefully it will be enough to stop her from thinking about the dinner, at least until she calms down.

Hope knew what her lover was playing at but was in no mood to stop she just put up a bigger fight trying to dominate him but his long tounge made that hard and Derek's love for control made it impossible, but still trying was not going to kill her.

She had no problem with having Derek fuck the bad mood out of her.

"On second thoughts let's just cuddle," Hope says knowing how hesitant Derek has been after the whole Drew thing happened.

Although they didn't argue about it anymore Derek still felt some type of way that she kissed him so he would initiate something hot and it would just end in cuddling and Hope to understand or even be the one to stop they're making out before it gets too hot and ask for the only thing she'd been getting lately, warm not so innocent cuddles

It was not the same but it was something although she planned on changing that soon enough
