Walking back to the crime scene Orion looked around, seeing that the police were pushing back the crowds of onlookers. He turned his head scanning the crowd trying to find Malcolm. After a moment he spotted him with a reporter and film crew.
Going over he stayed out of frame, knowing how Malcolm was when he was with reporters.
The man held his chin high his hands on his waist, Orion barely heard what he said over the commotion but only could grab a few bits and pieces.
"Yes the villain Red Devil did get away, but I will catch him soon and show him Justice" Malcolm smiled as he continued talking at the reporter. The sound was like a cicadas buzzing that Orion had heard many times before.
After the reporter had walked away Malcolm looked back at the short blonde man. "Ah... Starstorm.... I need to talk to you in private-" the taller man sneered grabbing his arm and leading him to their car. Once in private he watch as 'frostbite' started to drop his facade, and oh how the man started to unravel Infront of him.

"What the actual fuck-! He was right there and you let him get away?"
He pinched his brow pacing back and forth. "Like who the hell does that?! A fucking idiot that's who. You had one job and you messed it up again!" he yelled slamming his fist against the car's hood, ice starting to freeze over the spot. His other hand grabbed the collar of Orion's shirt pulling him closer. "bu-" Orion stopped before he evan started, Malcolm's cold blue eyes sharp like knifes. "If that happens again you're done.. no more chances-" he pushed Orion back. The boy stumbled as he watched Malcolm turn away putting a on smile as he went to talk to the police chief...
Sighing he turned away thinking of Malcolm's words, his eyes lingering on the dent covered in the melting ice, as he stood there, wondering to himself if the man was correct.

Opening the door and getting in the car he sat there thinking for a while, thinking of everything and nothing, it was all too confusing.
Sighing Orion turned the key, he drove down the road switching on the radio and humming softly to the music, his fingers tapping the steering wheel. the image of the devil flashing in his mind, the green of his eyes almost seeming to glow in the dark alleyway, how his voice seemed to echo in his head- his words ringing in the boys head like bells, he tried to shake his thoughts away. Taking a turn off the road he just couldn't stop thinking of the masked man, his palms clammy as he clenched the steering wheel, his mind was in a haze. Orion took a deep breath and looked around realizing this was not the way to the manor, staring down the street he pulled over needing a minute to think.
His hazel eyes trailing the streets not recognizing anything, "damnit-" he mumbled, looking into the review mirror, playing with his long blonde hair. Looking at himself, touching his face Orion took notice that he no longer looked like the bright eyed boy he used to be.
Leaning against the seat he sighed remembering how he was when he was chosen to be Frostbites sidekick, how he was excited to be able to help the top hero. He couldn't believe that he was chosen out of everyone in the heros program, Orion chuckled to himself at all the stupid things he got himself into during his studies thare. Glancing to his wallet on the seat he grabbed it, opening it up, his finger rubbing the edge of a worn out photo taking it out, he sighed staring with a soft smile tugging at his lips. It was him and two of his friends. The girl on his left, a fiery redhead and a boy on his right one as well, he chuckled at the boy making a peace sign over his sisters head.
remembering the twins and the shenanigans they got up too, Orion looked down at himself, how his hair was messy sticking out in random places, his eyes bright with excitement, holding up a small orange kitten.
It was good.. they were good- but now... He sighed putting the photo back. Taking a moment he shook his head before putting the car reverse.

Finally pulling up to the manner, getting out he looked up at the building, the green of the ivy crawling up the sides, walking inside a maid hurried over, her apron wrinkled and dirty her black hair in a mess before she greeted him, "hello mister Anderson" the young maid took a exasperated breath, "your needed in the parrler- Mr. Matthias has been waiting"
"Oh? OH- um thank you Mary" he said before hurried off, using his fingers to comb through his hair to at least make himself look presentable. Taking a moment to fix his shirt, without thinking he pulled at the fabric that clung to his chest. Reaching forward his fingers wrapping around the bras nob, taking a deep breath he opened the door walking in, spotting the man, he looked old, almost 50 at most. The lines of time already etching themselves into the pale mans face.
"Hello sir" Orion smiled politely before sitting down,
The man cocked his head to the side "Hello, are you-?"
Orion shook his head "Oh no no I'm Starstorm his sidekick, but I hear you need help?"
"Ah ... Yes, well I work for the Volynsky estate, My boss wants me to get the help of a hero, someone to protect the young master."
"Alright, but can I ask something?"
"Yes of course-"
Orion sighed, "umm well I just wanted to know, why a hero? You could easily get the help of a normal organization" he watched the other man, noticing the gray streaks in his dark hair, and the way he held himself, it seemed to demand respect in a way.
"Well my employer doesn't fully trust.. organizations, he prefers knowing that nothing will happen to his son under the vision of... Someone like you" he responded his words slow and carefully thought out.
"Ok well, um one more question on my part, why does the boy need protection?"
"Thares been some.. problems" he shifted in his seat, "the young master has a few people that would be willing to hurt him if they had the chance-"
"Ah .. I see-" Orion nodded fixing his hair, "well now on to the more professional stuff how long do you need me, hours, and of course payment-"
"Ah already getting down to business I see, well preferably for about a month and a half, if you wish you can sleep at the manner or at your home, but for hours... About 10 a day. You'll be payed when your done, about 1600,000" hearing the amount of money he perked up slightly, "1600,00 you say?"
"Well yes, why is that a problem?"
"Uh... No no not a problem-"
getting up from the chair, the other man watching before getting up as well. they both started to walk towards the entrance, "I'll take the deal." Turning towards Matthias he saw the older man hold out his hand smiling he grasped it and shaking it. "It's good doing business, when do you want me over?"
Matthias straightened his shoulders taking a breath, "in two weeks- here's the Master's card as well as the house address. He won't be here for about three weeks so you'll have plenty of time" the older man smiled not elaborating as he walked in the door.
Confused Orion just watched not even sure what to say to that, closing the doors he just stood there thinking for a while. "Huh.... Strange.. " he mumbled sitting down in one of the chairs, his eyes roaming the room, it looked nice. Big windows, nice wood finishings, evan a fairly good bookshelf in the wall, he chuckled slightly imagining himself in his boss's shoes wondering how day-to-day life was for 'frostbite.'

but he could never truly know... Now could he.
