### Lisa's POV

Gosh, this is so boring. I'm sleepy already.

"Lisa, you need to wake up or else the teacher is gonna call on you," Rose whispered urgently.

"Nah, she would never do that. Besides, nobody will see us back here," I replied, confident in our strategic choice of seats.

"Yeah, right," Rose said, not convinced.

Ignoring my best friend's warning, I put my head down on the table. Sleep was calling my name, and I loved sleep. I was dozing off comfortably until I felt a nudge on my elbow. At first, I ignored it, but then Rose poked me harder.

"Lisa!" she hissed.

Groggy and disoriented, I lifted my head and realized that everyone in the room was staring at me. My cheeks burned with embarrassment. The teacher's voice cut through the fog in my brain.

"Excuse me, the girl at the back, can you come to the front?" she said, pointing directly at me.

Mortified, I stood up and walked to the front of the classroom, feeling every pair of eyes on me.

"So, what's your name?" the teacher asked.

"My name is Lisa, Miss," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Do you actually want to study here?" she continued.

"Yes, Miss," I answered, trying to sound more confident than I felt.

"Then answer this question: Do you think you can be successful if you sleep through my class?"

"Um," I stammered, unsure of what to say.

"Tell me, Lisa, what results did you achieve to get into this college?" she pressed on.

"I... I got good grades, Miss," I said, trying to salvage some dignity.

The teacher looked at me for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, Lisa, please take your seat and try to stay awake. Remember, your success here depends on your effort and attention."

I walked back to my seat, feeling the weight of the entire class's eyes on me. As I sat down, Rose gave me a sympathetic look.

"Maybe next time you'll listen to me," she whispered.

"Yeah, maybe," I muttered, determined to stay awake for the rest of the class.

### Lisa's POV

This went on for about a week. By the end of it, I was used to the teacher's occasional attempts to keep me awake. Sometimes, she even gave up trying.

Ring! The bell rang, signaling the end of class. I was ready to leave to go in another class when I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around, I saw a girl with mesmerizing brown eyes and black hair with brown highlights. She was so pretty.

"Are you Lisa?" she asked, her voice soft and a little shy.

"Yeah, I am," I replied.

"Can you help me with something?" she continued.

"Sure, what is it?"

"Well, I heard that your brother is a senior here. Could you be my assistant for an event we're organizing?"

I barely registered what she was saying; I was too distracted by how pretty she was. Her soft voice and shy demeanor made it hard to focus.

"Lisa? Are you there?" she asked, chuckling at my dazed expression. "Can you help me with this?"

"I... no, I can't do that. I don't want to get involved with anything related to my brother," I blurted out.

Her eyes showed a hint of sadness and disappointment. After a long pause, I said, "Let me just think about it."

Her face lit up instantly. "Really? Oh, thank God! Let me get your number so we can stay in touch."

"Yeah, sure," I said, still a bit flustered but unable to resist her excitement.
