Y/n's P.O.V
The five of us stood in my dad's dark magic chamber, staring at the one thing the whole world thought was destroyed.

The glowing egg of the Dragon Prince.

"This changes everything." The Moonshadow elf gasps.

Callum leaned closer to the egg. "So, this is it? The egg of the Dragon Prince?"

"I can't believe it. If the egg lives..." The elf drags out.

"Maybe it could stop the war." Callum finished.

I put my hand on the egg's smooth surface, watching it shimmer under my palm, feeling the heartbeat of the dragonling inside.

I smiled. "He's okay on there. I can feel his heart beating strong."

"But how?" Callum stammers. "Why wasn't it destroyed?"

"Because my father saved it." Claudia came down the secret staircase holding her primal stone.

The elf readied her blades while me, Ezran, and Callum looked at her in surprise.

"Claudia!" Callum said.

"Y/n, get behind your big sister Claudia, you too, Callum and Ezran. I can protect you from the elf." Claudia said as she got into a battle stance.

The elf pointed her swords angrily at Claudia. "Your father didn't save it. He stole it."

"That's a lie!" Claudia shouted.

Callum walked toward Claudia. "Then, Claudia, why is it here?"

I grabbed the egg, holding it in my arms.

"My father took it to protect us, Callum, so the elves and dragons couldn't use it." Claudia told us.

The elf raised a brow in confusion. "What are you talking about? How can we use it?"

"Don't play dumb! You know it's a powerful weapon." Claudia raised her voice.

"It's not a weapon. It's an egg!" The elf said, acting like Claudia was crazy.

"Y/n, my adorable little sister, don't be afraid. Walk towards me, and if she moves an inch..."

Claudia starts to draw a rune in the air, and sparks of lightning appear from her hand, aiming it at the elf. "Just bring that thing here." She said in a menacing tone.

"It's not a thing! It has a mother, and it needs to go back to her." The elf stepped in front of me protectively.

"You're right. It wants its mother." Ezran spoke up, placing his hand on the egg.

"Y/n, Ezran, be careful." Claudia said in a warning tone.

Me and Ezran looked at the elf before she gave us a smile, giving us confidence.

"Follow me." I said while carrying the egg, escaping through a door behind us.

As we ran through the dungeon hallways, Callum caught up with us, but he carried Claudia's primal stone.

"There's something after us." Callum exclaims as we keep running.

The elf pulls out her blades. "Keep running."

"Wait, not that way." I shouted as we turned the corner.

Callum turned his head to me. "Why not?"

Callum ran into a wall with a loud thud, falling down and scratching his head.

"Because it's a dead-end." I told him.

Callum groans as he stands up.

The shadow wolves that had been chasing us approached as the elf attempted to fight them off.
