**POV Freya**

Freya eventually fell asleep, but unfortunately, she didn’t dream. Freya always has strange yet beautiful dreams. In her dreams, Freya always feels so safe and comfortable, a feeling she has only experienced with her big brother Ragnar. Unfortunately, Freya forgets the dreams as soon as she wakes up. Freya was then woken up by Uncle Charlie; Bella had disappeared. She suddenly just didn’t show up. Freya went with Uncle Charlie to help him find her. It felt like the whole town was looking for Bella, but no one found her. It was already getting dark. Freya stayed with Uncle Charlie until they found Bella. Uncle Charlie was panicking, and Freya wondered where Edwirdo was. She tried calling one of the Cullens, but every time she was told that the number didn’t exist. Where are they? Freya also drove to their house, but no one was there. Did they leave Forks? Late in the evening, the dog Sam brought Bella home; she had been in the forest, and before she fell into a deep sleep, she said Edward was gone.

Charlie almost had a heart attack from worry, and Freya decided to stay with Bella that night. While Bella slept, Freya sat like a disturbed psycho next to her bed, watching her sleep. Freya wondered what exactly had happened, which is why she couldn’t sleep. In the morning, Bella looked awful; she had worse dark circles under her eyes than Freya, and that’s saying something. Her face was even paler than usual, and her eyes were red from all the crying. She looked briefly like a corpse.

Bella: "Freya, he’s gone..."

Freya: "Who’s gone?"

Bella: "Edward, he said they had been in Forks too long, and it would start to be noticed that Carlisle wasn’t aging... he told me and then disappeared. He wanted to protect me."

Freya understood that they couldn’t stay too long; it was even a law that we couldn’t stay in one place for too long. A rule to protect vampires, something important to keep our race secret. That Edwirdo left her alone in the forest without thinking that Victoria was still out there, full of rage, was simply dumb and cruel. Victoria, a vampire whose mate they had killed. Bella then turned to me.

Bella: "You won’t leave me too, will you, Freya? Please don’t leave me."

Freya looked at Bella sadly. She couldn’t promise that because she knew she would have to leave someday. Freya couldn’t make this promise to Bella because she was a vampire, and as a vampire, she had to follow the laws. Freya’s silence said it all. Bella knew deep down that Freya had to leave, but she still wanted to hear it from me that I would have to go someday.

Bella: "Please go."

Freya opened her mouth to say something, but her expression said it all, so she left. Freya had never seen Bella so disappointed, but she left, knowing there was nothing she could do about it. Down in the kitchen, Freya ran into Charlie.

Charlie: "Dr. Cullen has moved away with his family, taking Edward with him... he left Bella in the forest just like that. I never liked him."

Uncle Charlie held his half-empty coffee cup in his left hand. Even Uncle Charlie looked awful. He then turned to Freya.

Charlie: "Are you going home now, Freya? Hugh isn’t there, is he?"

Freya: "Bella doesn’t want to see Freya right now, and that’s okay. Freya will go home because Bella needs some space."

Charlie: "You can always come to me if you need anything, Freya. I know things have been tough since your brother’s death and disappearance. You’re still my niece."

Freya: "Thank you, Uncle Charlie. Freya will go now."

Outside in her car, Freya tried calling Alice again. Alice was always the closest to Edwirdo among all the Cullens. I love Bella more than anything, and that’s why I’ll protect her with my life.
Phone: "This number does not exist. Beep beep beep."

How could they? They just ghosted Bella. Freya would never do that. Edwirdo was Bella’s world, and he just let her fall. Now Freya liked Edwirdo even less. The light in Bella’s room was off, and Freya could hear her quietly crying. Freya felt sorry for Bella and vowed to kill Edwirdo if she ever saw him again. He deserved it for what he did to Bella.

In the following days, Bella ignored Freya at school. Bella looked awful and always sat at the table where the Cullens used to sit, as if hoping they would walk into the cafeteria at any moment. This went on for two weeks until Freya decided it couldn’t continue. Freya went straight to Bella during the break. She was sitting at the Cullens' old table, looking out the window, and not taking a bite of the food in front of her. Everything was still there, and from the looks of it, Bella hadn’t eaten much lately.

Freya: "Bella, this can’t go on. Freya and Uncle Charlie are worried about Bella. Edwirdo isn’t coming back to Bella. Edwirdo isn’t worth it anyway; he left Bella alone in the forest. Bella could have died."

Bella looked angrily at Freya. Freya had never seen Bella so angry.

Bella: "Tch, as if you could understand. You’ve never had a boyfriend. I mean, I can understand why no man likes you. Freya this and Freya that, can’t you just talk normally? You’re just disgusting."

Bella was getting louder, and more people started looking at us. Bella finally noticed.

Bella: "Just get out of my life. Don’t look at me, don’t breathe the same air as me."

Luckily, Freya didn’t need air to survive.

Bella: "And don’t come near me, bitch."

Bella’s look said it all; she didn’t want Freya around, and Freya had to accept that. It hurt Freya, but she knew Bella needed time, and Freya would give her that time. Without saying anything, Freya finally walked away without looking back. Freya’s anger at Edwirdo rose once again...

In the evening, when Freya lay in bed with her rabbit Nero, her problems quickly disappeared. Near Nero, all of Freya’s problems vanished. Freya loved Nero. Nero had completely white fur and blue eyes like Freya. Freya got Nero for her 16th birthday from her father. She had wanted bees, but her father was afraid of them. When Freya first saw Nero, it was almost like love at first sight, but eventually, she was cruelly brought back to reality. Freya’s phone rang; it was Uncle Charlie, so Freya took the call.

Freya: "Uncle Charlie, Freya is happy to hear from Uncle Charlie."

Charlie: "Freya, I hope I’m not disturbing you. It’s pretty late outside..."

Freya looked out the window. It was so dark that humans couldn’t see anything outside. But that didn’t apply to Freya since she was a vampire.

Freya: "Don’t worry, Uncle Charlie could never bother Freya."

Charlie: "Good... I wanted to ask if you made any progress with Bella today. You said you’d talk to her."

Freya: "Freya spoke to her during the break, but Bella made it clear that she doesn’t want anything to do with Freya."

Freya didn’t want to tell Charlie about Bella’s harsh words. Charlie was going through a tough time, doing everything for Bella, but Bella didn’t care. Bella was ungrateful towards Uncle Charlie.

Charlie: "I understand... I don’t know what to do. She’s become a completely different person."

Freya: "Don’t worry, Uncle Charlie, it’ll get better. Bella can’t mourn forever. You’re doing your best, Uncle Charlie, but in this situation, words won’t help Bella much. The only thing Charlie and Freya can do is be there for her. Anything else would just hurt her more."

Charlie: "You’re right... thank you, Freya. I needed to hear that..."

Freya and Charlie didn’t know at that moment that things would get much worse.
