I didn't feel like eating I only took myself an apple and was reading a book until I look up and they are still staring at me

'What now? You wanted me to join you and now you all are looking at me like a freak'

'I mean talk , its been a long time from you , what's going on hows your parents and your grandmother'

A lump in my throat appears , the topic about my parents haven't been spoken since their death and now that he has asked , it gives me abnormal emotions .

They both passed away , its the reason why I stopped going to school and make friends. Personally most of them were bullies and called me witch nicknames becauseof my hair and clothes . I look down at my bracelet that was once he made me and I never lost hope into new bonds . I give a weary smile and put down my book.

'My grandmother is alright , my parents..died, its why I moved from whitechaple and homeschooled '

'I'm sorry , i didn't know'

'Ya didn't know it was rough' Benny tugs a empathic smile to me

'Its okay ..sometimes you have to accept the fate life gives you' I continue 'a while after I tried to convince my grandmother to let me go to school , first day was terrible so I went back with homeschooling , find it more peaceful yet lonely even with Sage'

The cat appears on my arms and try to hide her but she meows

'Did that cat come out of nowhere!' Rory points out

I glare at me to shut up 'No , it just..came'

He jumps on the table

'Never seen a cat with purple eyes' Ethan get weirded out

'Albnism-' I cringed out from my excuse.

'Sure looks like it' relieved benny agrees.

I take sage of the table and under and whisper 'go! You're going to make things worse'

Sage finally disappears .

The boys look under now too 'where'd go'?

'Awh i wanted to pet the kitty' Benny pouts

'Told you the cat is spy too' Rory states
And we all look to him silently until coming from under the table .

I lean towards Ethan and Benny 'you sure I can't punch him'

'Trust me , he'll only follow you around even more' Benny says honestly with a grin

I wanted to laugh about that but it was concerning , never meet someone with fish brain and personality like a blinding sunshine aside his hair .

I rest my head on my hand on the table looking how weird he is than I already am .

Till he caught my eye and I shake my head
'I have to go now..'

'Class doesn't start yet'

'Hi boys'
'Sorry for coming late , Someone was busy trying not to snatch one of the cheerleader's face off' two familiar voices came from behind me .

'Have you seen how she was , it was getting on me nerves'

I turn and they quickly realized me

'Its the girl with the accent'

I reply with a nod but before they could say something I stand up 'i really have to go' without another I leave cafeteria fast since the halls and classes are empty .

'Sage!' I called out for my cat, who appeared between my legs, purring. 'Smell any hint of magic from the amulet?'

Sage began to sniff, his nose twitching , he picked up the scent almost immediately than I expected . I followed him at a brisk pace until we reached a door to the principles office, which he began scratching to get it open .

I look around first to see no one was around but I don't know if someone was in the office too .

'Sage , give me a meow if there's someone coming , alright?'

I knocked the door gently in case someone was in , then peeked inside and luckily no one was there .

I searched everywhere , every nook and cranny, but no amulet. 'sage'

Sage leaped onto my desk and wiggled his tail 'you said it was here where is it' I said frustratingly .

I watched as he bounded towards the drawers beneath the desk . He stood and pointed at one with his paw.

I pulled it and there was nothing but files and a junk taken from students until my eyes fall upon a book , it was Benny's . Maybe it would he nice to give it back to him now that I'm here but curiousity killed this cat and I open it.

I turn pages to the next one surprised and shocked . This book wasn't just some regular fantasy , this is ancient latin for spells , potions and witchery things.

I could be wrong . I randomly flip a page and I stepped back , reading perform a more minor spell 'Ignem blaster' a fire shoots out the palm of my hand hitting a frame on the wall crashing on the floor with glass everywhere .

'How did he have this..' I whisper to myself 'This continues powerful magic too for expertise'

I was so focused and drawn to my thoughts seeing each page instead of searching the place , thinking more of how Benny got this. I lifted my headand closed the drawer .

I was about to leave but I saw a glimpse of Benny coming this way . I hid under the desk holding my breath , growing anxious .

'Where is it?' Benny freaks out.

'I don't know , I've searched everywhere' Ethsn replies

'Search harder!' Benny exclaimed. 'Grandma would kill me if she knew I lost the book. I got caught in class!'

'Lets ask Mister Arnie , he might not taken it elsewhere'

'This frame didn't fall itself'

'The door was open , don't you think it was weird? Someone must've taken'

'Guys..' Rory then whispers 'someone's here too'

I peek out and he's coming towards me . I am so busted . what should I do .

Sage jumps from my grasp and onto the desk.

'Its just Nina's cat'

'Whats it doing here' Ethan asks

'Here kitty kitty' Rory draws himself to sage to pet him and as he was brushing his fur he suddenly hisses at him and runs out .

'Great you scared him away'

'I swear I didn't do anything!'

'Let's just go before the principal comes back thinking we took the book instead' Ethan suggests . Their footsteps fade out to the halls and the ball rings .

I don't move , I just stay there for the moment . feeling guilty and already worn out from this mission faster than I thought . I cling my legs to my chest and bury my face hopelessly .

I could definitly use a hug right from sage or grandmother for support . I shake of the weight on my shoulders . I guess I'll come back here tonight .

Hours after consistently ignoring everyone especially benny . My house isn't far so I was walking my way there instead but I hear footsteps and name calling

'Nina, wait!' Ethan's voice rang out.

I quickened my pace, but he caught up and gripped my wrist. A gasp escaped his lips , as if he had seen a ghost. I yanked my arm free and stepped back, desperate to put distance between us and the others so I can go home soon as I can.

I am coming back tonight and its now or never . I've got to find that amulet.
