[7 Years Before the Events of Gem Glow]

Greg and young Y/n has been together for a week, Y/n's mother hasn't respond to any of Greg's messages. They've taken a tour around Beach City and were now heading to the Temple. The duo finally make it to the temple "Wait here, We'll surprise them!" Greg grinned, Y/n went and sat on a chair that was on the outside patio. Inside Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Steven were on a couch playing a random card game. Suddenly the door busted open revealing Greg. Steven got up with stars om his eyes "Dad!" he ran to hug his father "What are you doing here!" Steven shouted

"Yea...What are you doing here, Greg." Pearl said suspiciously, watching as Steven and Greg hug. "Visiting, but!" Greg walked towards the door "I also got a surprise!" Pearl became distressed "What suprise!" She almost screamed. Greg chuckled and picked up Y/n, showing him to the gems. The gems looked at the kid. "...did you steal a kid..." Pearl said. Amethyst laughs, Greg stutters "N-n-no! Hes like Steven!" Greg lowered Y/n shirt to show his black gem, causing everybody to turn silent.

"..." Pearl picked up Y/n looking at him. "thank you Greg, you can leave now." Pearl says as she continues to look at Y/n's gem. "Uhhh yea sure um, see ya shtooball" Greg ruffled Stevens hair and left, leaving Y/n with the gems. Garnet walked up to Pearl and took Y/n off her hands, holding Y/n up by his foot and examining his gem "How is this possible!?" Pearl shouted in a burst of panic. Garnet started shaking Y/n "Who are you!" Garnet questioned while violently shaking him.

"Hey! Don't shake him! You'll make him nervous." Steven spoke, tugging at Garnets leg. Garnet stopped shaking him and put him down. Y/n stood there, dazed and confused until Steven walked up to him. "Hey! Im Steven, what's your name!" Steven asked as he held his hand out for a handshake. "Y/n" He said in barely a whisper. "...So your just like me huh?" Steven lifted up his shirt and showed his Rose gem and then pointed at Y/n's Obsidian gem. While Steven and Y/n got to know each other, the gems decided to talk among themself. "...how is this possible. It was only twice, its impossible...unless...no, no It's impossible" Pearl continue to ramble until she felt Garnets hand on her shoulder.

"Its definitely her, its her gem." Garnet told Pearl as Amethyst budded in. "Yo, what are we talking about." Pearl looked at Amethyst and then pointed at Y/n who was showing his gem to Steven. Amethyst looked at Y/n and squinted. few seconds past and then "OH Its Obsidian's gem!" Amethyst was immediately shushed by Pearl. "We only formed Obsidian once...twice, helping that strange sailor." Pearl rambled again but was shut down by Garnet. "It does not matter, Y/n is a gem so we should take care of them the same way with Steven." The gems nod.

Steven and Y/n now sat on the couch talking about things. "So tell, Lion Lickers or Cookie Cats?" Steven asked. Y/n thought about if for a minute, scratching his head. "Cookie Cats" Steven beamed a smile hugged Y/n "Yay!" A confused Y/n stared confusly at the crystal gems.  "So...Y/n, you know anything about yo gem?" Amethyst asked Y/n who shaked his head. "Do you know anything about the gems?" Pearl asked. Y/n shook his head again. Pearl grinned, taking this chance to have another student under her wing. "Well...its times to teach you two, the history of the gems" the gems smiled at a smiling Steven and a even more confused Y/n.
