Summary: When Chloe comes in to talk to Red about something, Red has no idea what is to come. She assumes the worst, naturally. However, that could not be farther from the truth.

"Hey," Chloe greeted as she came in through the door swiftly, looking like she was on a mission. Red looked over at Chloe with some surprise from where she was about to sit down at the desk on her side of the room.

Chloe was looking directly at Red, and Red quickly came to the conclusion that somehow that mission was going to involve Red herself.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were busy with... whatever club that you said you were going to," Red raised her eyebrows with a huff, at this point figuring that she could not even try to pretend that she actually had remembered what Chloe said when she last saw her.

Chloe only looked briefly unimpressed before her face returned to that determined expression.

"It was Swords and Shields practice. But listen, I have to tell you something," Chloe shook her head, quick to get to the mission that she had been aiming for. And just as Red had suspected, it involved Red herself.

Against her will, Red felt nerves filling her, not sure what sort of thing that Chloe had to tell her. However, she offered the bluenette a veneer of only the utmost confidence.

"Oh, yeah? Is it 'I'm sorry for putting that atrocious poster over there on the wall?' Because I'd appreciate an apology for that," Red half-joked with her as she jabbed a thumb in the direction of the large inspirational poster on the opposite side of the room.

Chloe rolled her eyes with a huff, grinning as she came over to Red's side of the room more fully. She obviously had chosen to ignore Red's jab.

Red really would have liked an apology from her about that stupid poster, though. Maybe an apology followed by her taking it down.

"It's not that. It's," Chloe paused, taking in a deep breath as she seemed to be thinking something over. Red looked at her curiously, unable to help wondering what exactly that Chloe was about to say as the fear built steadily in her stomach.

Some darker part of her was slightly afraid that it would be something about not wanting to be roommates with her anymore. Red tried to chase that away, but that had been a fear lingering with her ever since they got assigned to each other last week.

Despite Red's gripes and playful complaints, it had really been so nice rooming with Chloe, and she sincerely hoped that Chloe was not about to say that she did not want to be roommates anymore. At the same time, however, Red could not say that she would blame Chloe for not wanting anything more to do with her. A week with Red was probably as much as the girl could handle.

While Red had found out that she was a good person from their time journey and the sorcerer's cookbook, she had been thinking about it and had come to the conclusion that was not definitive proof that she was good. Sure, it did not freeze her because she had good intentions at the time, but she did not think that it was evaluating her as far as how she was as an overall person.

Maybe Chloe had come to that conclusion, too. That was one of Red's worst fears— the only person that really knew the truth about their reality and that understood her not wanting to be around her anymore.

"I realized I never really actually thanked you for... Well, everything," Chloe told her with a slight laugh, and Red looked at her in surprise, her eyes widening a little as she looked at the bluenette. Chloe smiled at her, tilting her head a little.
