/THE GIRLS/

Seated on the couch, her eyes darting around the room, Rosabella—clearly uncomfortable under the scrutiny of her friends. Zoey, Ava, and Ophelia stood in front of her, their expressions a mix of curiosity and suspicion.

Zoey, the boldest of the three, crossed her arms and leaned in slightly. "So, Rosa. What exactly happened at Kevin's party? Are you guys, like, a thing now?"

Ava, always the gentle one, tried to soften the interrogation. "Yeah, we're just curious. You two seemed pretty close that night. It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, but we'd love to know if there's something going on."

Ophelia, with her ever-observant nature, added, "You were acting pretty strange when I saw you all come home that night. It's okay if you like him, you know. We're your friends; we just want you to be happy."

Rolling her eyes at the overly gentleness of her friends Zoey spoke up once more rather quickly and louder this time to get her to speak her mind. "You. Connor. Party. Tears. Go!"

Rosabella fidgeted with her fingers, a faint blush creeping up her cheeks. She shook her head and tried to deflect the questions. "No, no, it's nothing like that. We're just friends, honestly. You guys are making a big deal out of nothing."

And maybe just maybe that would be true. Maybe she could say with her full chest that they were being crazy and making a big deal out of nothing but the fact that Connor sent her the video he took that night followed by the message 'hope you had as much fun as I did' made it difficult to do so—to say that they were only friends.

The girls exchanged skeptical glances. Zoey raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "Just friends, huh? Friends don't make eachother cry. What about that dance you did? I saw the eye contact you two constantly held, It looked pretty intimate to me."

Rosabella's face turned a deeper shade of red. She avoided eye contact and mumbled, "It was just a dance. No big deal."

Ava, sensing her friend's discomfort, tried to lighten the mood. "Hey, we're not judging you or anything. We just want to know what's going on. We're your friends; we care about you."

Just as Rosabella was about to respond, her phone chimed, breaking the tension in the room. She glanced at the screen and froze. Her eyes widened, and her lips parted in shock.

Zoey, ever the quick one, noticed the change in Rosabella's expression. "What is it? Who's it from?" She asked, stepping closer.

Before Rosabella could hide her phone, the girls crowded around her. She reluctantly opened the message, and they all gasped in unison. "What the actually fuck, Rosa. Who's dick is that?" Ava asked eyeing the photo with wide eyes and parted lips.

Zoey and Ophelia exchanged wide-eyed glances, trying to process what they had just seen. Showing Connor sitting in what appeared to be a lecture room, with an unmistakable outline of a hard boner visible through his pants. The message following reading: 'Was thinking about that night, guess I couldn't help it.'

Rosabella's eyes widened in shock, and she quickly locked her phone, her face turning crimson. "Oh my God," She whispered, feeling a mix of embarrassment and surprise.

Zoey broke the silence first. "Did he really just send that? During a lecture? Wow, that's...bold."

Ophelia, trying to stifle a giggle, covered her mouth with her hand. "He must really like you, Rosa. That's quite the... display of affection."

A stunned silence filled the room as always Zoey being the one to break it with a sly grin, "Just friends, huh?"

Ava giggled, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "That doesn't look like 'just friends' to me."
