ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴘᴏᴠ:

I attended this beach party tonight with a group of my friends. I have been feeling down recently, so this should up my mood big time.

The sun has said goodbye, and the moon smiles in its crescent. There is a huge fire lit in the middle of the sand that is separate from the sea.

So many others around the area heard of this beach party, from birdseye view. I bet you can't see a spec of sand from how crowded it is.

I hold onto the end of my friends jumper as she guides us through the sweaty smell.

We reach where people are sitting around the fireplace for warmth. It's the middle of September, so it's somewhat warm but still chilly.

Some dude come up to us and offer all of us shots, me and my friends all take a plastic cup as he pours vodka (at least it is what I think it is) in the cup.

I look at the liquid for a second in disgust, I'm not sure if I wanted to get to drunk tonight. My eyes snap to my side to my friends already knocking back their shot, I follow soon after.

The sour liquid trickles down my throat and warms my inside but not in a warm, comfort way, in a burning way. I clear my oesophagus and cough harshly.

"That's vile. What is it?" I spit at the guy who poured our drinks.

"I don't know, but it gets you fucked" he chuckles and takes a swig of the bottle himself.

Brilliant.

I stand up straight again, only to be smacked on the shoulder by my friend who is slightly taller than me.

"Girl relax, let's make this night worth something to remember, yeah"

I nod and smile in response. Two of my other friends grab my hands and take us to where there are more drinks. This time, we take another shot. We know what we are having.

I grab some cherry sours and pour a shot size into our cups. We all cheers and knock it back.

"Fuck it let's have a great time" I shout getting all excited wanting to escape reality for a while.

We all yell and giggle in unison.

...

I feel the alcohol staring to affect me now. My limbs feel numbs, and my head is spinning like tea cups.

I'm dancing with my friends as we hold each other up. I giggle feeling the rush of adrenaline take over. I soon fall onto my ass with a big thumb. I laugh to myself and lie on the sand, completely unaware of it getting all in my hair.

I rest my head to the side and look at the fire blazing. My vision is blurred, but I can still feel the heat.

It's not until my vision becomes clearer to a familiar figure. His perfect broad shoulders, his hair, the sharp jawline.

When I notice him fully, I sit up and analyze his presence even more. He is having a drink with another girl.

They are sitting oddly close to each other, which sets a frown on my face. She runs her ugly has along his biceps.
