Isabel's pov
My alarm went off at 3am, and I groaned, wishing for just a few more minutes of sleep. But then I remembered Greece! I jumped out of bed, and got changed.

My suitcase was already packed, sitting by the door, and I grabbed my backpack, making sure I had my passport and phone before heading out.
Ariana’s car was waiting outside, headlights cutting through the early morning darkness. She waved from the driver’s seat, and I could see gavi slouched in the passenger seat, looking half-asleep. I tossed my suitcase in the trunk and slid into the backseat, excited but trying to play it cool.
The drive to the airport was quiet, just soft music like the marias, clario, lana del rey...and a few tired jokes from gavi. My mind kept drifting to lamine. We just kissed yesterday, and now we were going on this trip together. I tried to ignore the nervous flutter in my stomach.
When we pulled up to the airport, there he was lamine, standing by the entrance with his bag, looking way too awake for this hour. He smiled when he saw me, and I felt my heart skip a beat.
“You excited?” he asked, giving me a quick hug.
“of course I am!” I replied, hoping I didn’t sound as nervous as I felt.
Inside the airport, we moved through check-in and security pretty quickly. At the gate, we found a spot to sit and wait for our flight. I ended up next to Lamine, and we started talking about the trip what we wanted to do, places we wanted to see.
“First time in Greece?” he asked, leaning a little closer.
“Yeah, I’ve always wanted to go,” I said, feeling a little thrill at how close he was. “What about you?”
“Same. I’m excited to explore with you,” he said, his smile making me forget how tired I was.
We kept talking, the conversation was easy and natural. It felt good, like we were finally moving past just talking and into something more. As we waited to board, I realized this trip was going to be amazing not just because of the destination, but because of who I was with.

Time had passed I sat on the hard airport seat, looking at my phone for the hundredth time. Our flight was late, and we still had over an hour to wait. I sighed, trying to ignore the boring airport noise.
