"Well look who's here, it's Red son!"
He Waved, seeing the blonde man again, Ying Grinned and welcomed him inside the shop "what brings you here? you're pretty early!" He Chuckled, cleaning off his soil covered hands with some Spare cloth "Oh, I'm here for Emily. is she still preparing?" He asked and Ying Nodded "picking her up eh? yup she's still upstairs taking care of who knows what, but she'll be down in a minute." He nodded giving Red son a teacup that's steaming Freshly with a smell of faint pine "for now, take some tea and have a look around" He spoke, going back to his task Red son hummed and took a seat on a wooden chair, beside him are the snacks and teapot for him to refill his tea.
For him to move on his task, he needs Emily for this since she knows the systems current name. I mean he did remember that the guards told him about the Yearly changes of name for the security of the museums Archives. but since Emily is one of the Museums Workers, I think it won't be that difficult for him to hack through the archives.
'Why does this place smells like pinewood? and old paper?'
he Sniffed, looking up the source of the scent. he Blinked once he saw a lot of letters hanging up the ceiling, with red strings connecting all of them like a chain, some are even folded in a neat paper crane, a heart, flower, and animals. 'weird' he thought, eyeing those papers hanging up the ceiling and connected with a red string.
"fascinating, isn't it?"
Red son Blinked, Ying standing beside him as he also looked up the ceiling "my forefathers put up all of those letters with care and even marked them with the original names of the writers" He spoke "forefathers?" Red son hummed, and the man nodded. yes those letters aren't just letters. they are very old letters that rages from 20's to 70's.
"Those are letters from the past. they were hung up since we believe that someday these letters will be found by the intended Receiver's"
"But these are old"
"Well yes but still. we value these letters with respect" He Chuckled, and then he points to a picture frame "see that lady in blue?" Ying smiled, and Red son nods "yeah. is she a relative?" He asked, seeing a bit of similarities since the lady has yellow hair and Freckles "yeah, she's our great aunt" He smiled, remembering that their father would clean that frame every week since this lady is a treasured heirloom that must be displayed with care "aunt Lilibeth was said to be a pretty lady. I don't know much about her, but my grandfather said that she's deaf yet surprisingly, she is able to communicate with people using only sign language" He Shrugged.
"a long lineage of family huh"
"Well, you could say that. and this fruit shop has been passed down for generations too."
It is evident. since to this day their family shop hasn't changed at all. the interior and exterior are still the same and even the windows. but to keep the fresh and vintage Chinese look of their shop, they would change the paint time to time and even plant some flowers. "You got your Aunts Hair color" Red son mused, playfully looking back to the Fruit shop owner. Ying rolled his eyes and scoffed "that's what my neighbors would say. -Ahem* right so are you human?" He blurted, and immediately hearing that question from Ying made Red son spit out his Tea and cough.
