He's Not Your Setter

Chapter 3

"Hey, wake up!" Hinata yelled. Kageyama slowly opened his eyes. He had stayed up late overthinking his relationship with Hinata, and once he eventually did manage to fall asleep, he would wake up every few hours. 

"What time is it?" Kageyama asked groggily.

"Seven! Come on we're going to miss breakfast!" Hinata said before running into the hallway. Kageyama got up, changed out of his pajamas, and walked down the hallway to the cafeteria. He looked around and saw the third years at one table, the second years at another, and Tsukkishima and Yamaguchi at another table. He looked around for Hinata and finally saw him at a table with Kenma, Kuroo, Bokuto, and Akkashi. Once he grabbed his food he made his way over to their table and sat down.

"Hey, Kageyama!" Hinata said. "You know everyone here right?"

"Yeah." He responded. 

"Hey I thought I took that from you!" Kuroo said loudly before snatching a video game away from Kenma. 

"Welcome to the table, Bokuto and Kuroo will cause chaos, and I'm sure you know Hinata will eventually join in." Akaashi said before taking a bite of his breakfast.

"I will not!" Hinata said confidently.

"You already have." Kenma responded, obviously looking for a way to get his game back.

"I have not! Kageyama, defend me!"

"I agree with Kenma." He replied.

"I'm getting more food, and maybe I'll move to a table where everyone appreciates me!" Hinata said dramatically. "Fix your posture!" He said, poking Kenma in the back causing him to jolt upwards.

"I should try that on him." Kuroo said. After a few laughs from everyone around the table, they all went silent and stared at eachother.

"This is weird, I'm leaving." Kenma said after a minute. 

"And then there were three." Bokuto said.

"Just finish eating, Bokuto." Akaashi said.

"You just don't appreciate my sense of humor!" Kageyama stared down at his food, ignoring everyone around him.

"You ok?" Kuroo asked.

"Yeah, why?" Kageyama responded.

"You're not eating, and a setter as good as you knows to fuel up before playing in a bunch of matches. So what's up?"

"I didn't sleep well "

"You do look tired." Akaashi said.

"Hey guys!" Hinata called, bouncing back to his spot with a tray of food. Kenma walked close behind him, carrying a glass of some sort of juice. Of course they're together. Kageyama thought.

"Kenma, what did I tell you about drinking more water?" Kuroo asked.

"I had a glass last night, let me live." Kenma responded before drinking almost half of the glass. Kageyama watched as Hinata stuffed his face with food, and continued stirring his food around his tray.

"Why aren't you eating?" Hinata asked.

"I'm tired." Kageyama responded.

"We let you sleep in though!"

"I kept waking up in the middle of the night, amd it took me awhile to fall asleep."

"Are you still going to play today?!"

"Yeah."

"Yes! So you'll still set for me?!"

"Yeah."
