In the shadows of the fading light,
We stand together, hearts held tight.
A love so deep, yet now we part,
With heavy souls and aching hearts.

The words we say, they cut so deep,
A sorrowed promise we can't keep.
Love you, goodbye, the hardest phrase,
A bittersweet end to our days.

Memories linger, haunting our dreams,
Of laughter, love, and whispered schemes.
But now we face this painful truth,
Our love confined to distant youth.

Though we part, my heart will cry,
For the love we shared, a last goodbye.
In every tear, in every sigh,
I'll love you always, though we say goodbye.
