A Journey to Elysium

I stepped outside and felt the raindrops kiss my skin,
A sharp sensation of exile, like a needle’s pin.
Perhaps this marks the start of a quest so grand,
To find a world with beauty, let the past drift like sand.

A light will lead me to Elysium, so luminous,
Climbing mountains with lions, hungry and furious.
Crossing rivers with alligator eyes watching, curious.
Stepping into hard rocks barefoot, no shoes.

I spent the night in a deserted hermitage, so still,
Not alone but within a village, quiet and chill.
While I slept, I had a vivid phantasmagoria,
Seeing the village alive, feeling like it's part of my historia.

The light then guided me to a labyrinth, filled with trials.
The path was clear, though I walked through many miles.
Inside, I wandered the same place thirteen times
Until at last I emerged, though stained by resistance.

A timeworm sage stood in my path as I tread the silent path of solitude
She carried a heart laden with shadows, her world overthrown.
She spoke of buried truth, beyond the horizon of common understanding.
I thought about it for a minute, but it left me still thinking.

Resting for a moment, I wondered, “Is there still a halcyon day?”
I know Empyrean, it’s a place of perfect sway.
Yet I'm finding a world where sovereigns can't be found
And breathing in silent thoughts will roam around

Will I ever find even just the liminal,
Though it disappears in day, just nocturnal?
Through trials and challenges, my spirit grows strong.
If you seek a new world, improve the one where you belong.
