"Should I choose this dress or this one?" Eleanor the blue eyed blond asked Y/n holding two dresses one a red cocktail dress the other a fishtail aquamarine dress that faded into a light cyan, they were going to a party with their dates, Eleanor and Loki her boyfriend and Y/n and her-no one since she didn't have a date "Cocktail makes you look like a whore fishtail like a mermaid fishtail" Y/n said looking on her phone for a date on a dating app "Great! Loki is going to love this!" She squealed and changed into the dress doing some matching cyan makeup and her hair half up half down and slightly wavy while doing her hair she told Y/n "Hey you should choose someone too and maybe Joseph could go with you! I know he's three years older and my brother but he seriously wouldn't mind hanging out with you" She said focused on her hair and Y/n who sighed "I don't want to go with him!" "Who do you think would go with you last minute today?" She snapped, Y/n shrugged "I don't know just not Joseph-" "Why is my name in this conversation?" Joseph who has brown hair and blue eyes asked walking into the room in sweatpants and a white shirt tight on his muscular 5'11" -180.34 cm- frame Y/n gulped looking at his sweatpants "Go with her she's alone" Eleanor said fixing her lipstick standing up and choosing some heels from her closet stash, the eighteen year old took her time and the 21 year old slightly smiled "Y/n" he said walking closer to her she looked up at him "Yes?" He leaned in closer his face inches away, Y/n tensed up and closed her eyes tight shut and than he flicked her forehead "OW! You bitch!" She hissed and he laughed walking to the door "Joseph don't hit her" Eleanor said too late while putting her matching cyan heels on "I'll be ready in fifteen minutes" He said walking to his room, Y/n sighed she had a dark blue women's suit on, she didn't have a dress of the perfect colour  to match her shoes the pants were high waisted and the blouse was tucked in as she sat on her best friends bed waiting for Joseph to finish "Eager are we?" Her best friend teases and she blushes and hits her arm "Am not!" "I'm ready I'll drive you" Joseph said fixing his tie he looked so amazing Y/n couldn't help but stare obviously who wouldn't? His hair was different from his usual messy hair it was slicked back in a way that accentuated his sharp jawline and sky blue eyes Eleanore walked out  and called to her parents that she was leaving with Y/n and Joseph they called back to be careful and all and then Y/n quickly followed as well as Joseph their chaperone for this party, they got in his car and drove off somewhere near The Avengers Tower orginally called Stark Tower but most of The Avengers live there so it was named that  more specifically Eleanor had sat in the back to be able to fix her hair easily so Y/n had to sit next to Joseph she could hear his every breath and the warmth radiating off him she tried not to focus on him but the window instead but he looked so attractive while focused on something, his eyes on the road, his hair falling slightly from the perfected slicked back hair, Y/n had to hold back the urge to tuck his hair behind his ear, it was harder than she thought and she suffered the whole ride to the party.

It wasn't hard to tell that Joseph had a crush on his sister's best friend hell even she knew he liked her and he knew that she knew but they never did anything about it and it frustrated Eleanor a lot although she loved a good slow burn romance this was too slow for her, but she wouldn't do anything because it wasn't in her place to make them kiss or anything she wasn't an author, she was only a best friend for one and a sibling for the other, back to the matter at hand Y/n had been able to make it through the car ride without touching Joseph to fix his hair and she practically jumped out of there when they parked, Joseph laughed at her antics while Eleanor carefully walked out since she was wearing heels, they had parked not too far from The Tower and started walking there side by side with Eleanor leading the way confidently but in reality it is hard to find someone who is that confident so it is fake confidence but who cares? She needs the extra confidence as Loki started hinting at their first time tonight! She had to be the most nervous she ever was in her life, more nervous than her middle school graduation which was important to her because it was a step closer to her becoming a doctor and her parents were expecting a lot from her, she didn't want to let them down and -thankfully- she didn't but still! This would her first time with Loki which is also her first time ever! She was nervous and excited so she walks a bit faster. They get to the tower and get into the elevator and as it rides up Y/n shifts her position a couple of times as though she were nervous, Joseph takes her hand and kisses it to comfort her, her brain short circuits just as the elevator opens to reveal the glamorous living room of the tower now a dance room and a bar many people dressed to the nines, Eleanor beelines to Loki who stood near the bar talking to James Barnes, who's left metal arm glinted in the light, she kissed Looking who kissed her back and held her by the waist, Thor joined them soon after to keep watch on his mischievous brother. After at least two hours Y/n started to get jittery and went to the bathroom and only minutes later does she feel better just as a scream erupted through the huge room "THERE'S A DEAD BODY IN THE STUDY!" Everyone starts panicking and screaming, Joseph also panics not seeing Eleanor with Loki anymore, he runs to the study only to find his sister's body on the floor of the study, her wrist bleeding all over the floor, he could see the bone of her wrist -at that moment he couldn't remember the name of the bone despite being a college medical student- he almost vomitted then and there until Steve pulled him out of the room quickly and Y/n ran to him "Oh my god Joseph! Are you okay? You look as pale as a board" Joseph chokes on his words, thick tears welling in his blue eyes which were filled with sadness and desperation, they only made Y/n worry more, she looks at Steve "It's Eleanor... she's dead..." What? She didn't know if she said it out loud but the shock hit hard, so hard she fell to her knees and sobbed, her tears wracked through her so hard she couldn't stand straight, Eleanor... She's gone... She had a whole life ahead of her... So many lessons to learn...
