I wake up to the smell of waffles which puts a smile to my face, and this is why I love sleeping at home don't get me wrong I love living with Marley but a muffin and coffee every day gets a bit overrated. I get up shower and dress, even though this is Sams house I have my own room, bathroom and closet with clothes. Growing up was tough so I spent a lot of time here.

I run downstairs to the kitchen and see his mom and dad making everyone's waffles "Hey baby how did you sleep?" aunt Megan asks kissing me on the forehead "Always good when I'm home" I tell her sitting down on the chair facing them they all 3 have the same features Blue eyes and blond hair, white skinned where I am the total opposite brown hair brown eyes brown skin, I was insecure about it for the longest time but I learnt to love it "that's why I told you, you could move in we would even give you the bigger room" Uncle Logan states "honey leave gaby alone and give her the waffle" Aunt Megan saves me from responding as much as I take them as my other parents I would never do that even though I think it's more for them then me "Shes the only one who swims with me but fine! anyways here is your waffle with strawberry ice cream and caramel syrup with Oreos" I think you can see where Sam gets his dramatic side from "Thank you!" I say with excitement diving right in "MORING MY LOVELY FAMILY" Sam comes into the kitchen screaming with enthusiasm taking his plate which has all three flavours of ice cream chocolate strawberry and vanilla and with strawberries Oreos and chocolate chips "you guys are two different people " Aunt Megan says kissing Sam on the cheek "How was the first day back Sam" Uncle Logan asks him firmly they very strict on him when it comes to school because they know he tends to lack off while I on the other hand tend to be to much as they say I feel like I'm just the right amount. Thinking of school, I check my email to see if Mr Simon send the list out, yet I see the email came through last night I open it scanned for my name checking who my partner is, and luck is not on my side when I see DEAN BLACK next to my name. I can't believe this is happening I can't work with him also he would just want to sabotage me like before "okay just drop it for now" I hear Aunt Megan tell them while she takes our plates and loads the dishwasher "Have a great semester and don't become strangers " she says to us I go hug her and uncle logan goodbye "stay good kid" uncle logans says.
we get to the car, and I tell logan to first go fetch my car by the auto shop when we get there, I give them the money and they give my car I climb in and off to school.
"Hey guys " I say walking to the group "you got your car back congrats" Marley says hugging me "finally you don't have to be a burden " I hear dean say "okay nepo" I say and walk off to class when I hear footsteps behind me "Oh Ella don't get your panties in a twist" Dean says walking beside me "don't call me that" I state "thought you liked it , maybe I should call you partner?" I roll my eyes "we not partners I didn't even know you took that class" I am definitely not being is partner as we get in the classroom I go up to Mr Simon "NO" he says without me even saying anything " I didn't say anything"
"But a know you going to ask for a swop why else are you at my desk 10 mins before class begins" he states clearly
"Okay but I can't work with him" I explain myself
"Okay and what if you get a client that you can't stand what you going to do cry to a teacher?" Harsh but also, I hate to admit true
"maybe" I say obviously joking but he was not amused
"also you working against him not with him so it doesn't matter" I just stared knowing there's no way out of it I walk up to my seat "you give up easily for someone who wants to be a lawyer" Dean says behind me and I just ignore him "since you are coming over later to check the house out we can practice in front of everyone" Dean says again actually making sense "fun" I say sarcastically
After school we all go to the boy's house checking the house out, they give us a tour of the house it's pretty cool "omg a pool!" Marley shouts "Really!" I say running I love swimming and water and everything about it "woah can we swim?" I ask the boys "duh" Sam says from behind I see him in his swimming shorts "yayy coming now" I run up to his room grabbing the smallest shorts I could find putting it on and pulling the draw strings to make it fit "not too bad" I tell myself looking in the mirror I look around for one for Marley but I hear her already in the pool "Just swim in your underwear" She says as if it's that easy I don't even wear bikini it reminds me of underwear I don't mind my bra but not my underpart you know I run out and drive in the water, the water makes me feel calm it shushes my inner thoughts "YAAAYYY" Marley shouts as I get up from under the water I get attacked by water and this leads to a water fight Dean and Dan jump in after we threw them wet "By the way I like the painting in your room" I tell him "which one?" " the one of the 5 of us" I inform him it's the 5 of us around the fire throwing our wishes in the fire "how much do you have up?" Marley asks "Oh just a few one of my parents in the hospital the day I was born, one of gaby and I when we were younger building sandcastles, one of gaby and my parents, one of gaby dean dan and me on our high school graduation and a few small ones" her face changes for a split second but she covers it up "woah cool" she says and goes to Dean on the other side where his tanning, that was weird.
"Okay so dean and I are debating against or for death penalty I am fighting for, and he is fighting against" I tell everyone as we get out the pool "this should be interesting" Dan say as he sits on one of the sunlounges, they all sit down, and dean and I stand in front of them.
" As we all know the death penalty is seen as a form of justice for the victims and their families. It provides a sense of closure by ensuring that the perpetrator faces the ultimate punishment. "

"So, you think that people that do shit should just live comfortable in prison for a few years then come out and do the same shit" I add now looking at him
"It doesn't matter what I believe Ella" Dean says Turing his face towards me
" Executing a convicted criminal ensures they cannot commit further crimes, permanently removing dangerous individuals from society." I say getting back on track I shouldn't let this get to me
"By the way people can change so maybe not killing them would give them that opportunity" Dean says before storming out
"What was that all about?" I ask them they just simply ignore me.
