crossroads to the beginning

I wake up and look around to see that I am in my room, was that a dream? confused I get up slowly looking across the room to see nobody in Marley bed I make my way downstairs to see Sam smoking "Sam?" I say he kills his cigarette in the ashtray and comes over to hug me "I can't take this" is all he says, "What happened?" I question "if Dean wasn't there, I don't know what would have happened to you" Dean? where? "Huh?" is all I say, "Dean was sitting opposite the cafe he did not want to leave you alone and then when the man came, he fought him off" Sam explains "where are they?" I ask and Sam says nothing instead he looks away "Sam?" I question "I don't know" is all he says, "what do you mean you don't know?" I walk around the house looking for Dean "They not here Dan and Dean just left with the guy" Sam says "What does that even mean?" I ask, "Dan said he knows a secure place and they left" Sam explains "I'm confused" I state, "you have to trust them" Marley says coming out of the kitchen with a cup of tea giving it to me "What does that mean?" I ask once again "Do you know where they went?" Sam asks Marley she just sighs and nods "How?" Sam asks confused "This isn't the first time they had to 'handle' something" Marley says with air quotes on handle "why is this the first time I hear of this" I ask confused "we know them since high-school, and we never heard of this" Sam says. Marley sighs and tells us to sit down "Okay so there is something I should tell you guys" She starts off "So you guys know my parents are dead that's not true they aren't dead, but they aren't in my life for a very long time, they abused me as a child, it was so bad that I almost died Mr black helped me get away from them and into the system but I wasn't lucky to find a good home and about 3 weeks before your graduation he found me again all bruised up and decided to take me in" all I do is stare I had no idea I feel like I don't know her at all like I didn't pay attention and Dean was right when he told me that Sam went and hugged her and she cried I could see she's been holding all this in I go over to them and hugged her too "I am so sorry" I say after a good few minutes of her crying she pulls away from the hug and wipes her tears "Uhm so I lived with Dean before moving into the dorm and every summer we together his basically my brother since Mr black is kind of like my father" She explains "wow" Sam says "yeah but don't be angry at Dean or Dan I asked them not to say anything they wanted to introduce me to you guys but I didn't want people to know then when we started college I was roomed with you and I knew who you were but I couldn't bring myself to introduce myself as this weird freak that lives with your friend, and then you introduced me to them and I just went with it" She explains "I'm not angry I understand" I say and I do nobody wants their skeletons out in the open "Okay back to where they are uhm so the summer after our first year someone from my past came back and they didn't come in peace Mr black, Dean and Dan went to this place and this person never came back ever I don't really know what happened but I do know to trust them" She says "WHAT?" Sam says, "Sam you have to trust them they will figure out who sent him" Marley tries to calm him down "Should we call the police?" Sam questions "No!" Marley and I say, "why wouldn't we" he argues "SAM! you know more than anyone police are not the answer if this ends up being linked to my family" I say, "Gaby Dan and Dean could be getting in trouble" He argues I look over to Marley to see if she looks nervous or does she really have faith they won't be in trouble "Sam they aren't in trouble if we call the police they will be so relax" She says calmly like someone who's been in this situation but I guess she was "Okay okay" Sam says Marley nods and heads to the kitchen "Sam you got to relax and please don't tell your parents about this" I tell him "I know Gaby" he says I just nod, Sam parents are like my parents but there are things I hide from them especially things from my family things that they would want to solve the 'correct' way. Sam knows most of the skeletons in my family closet but not all I love Sam, but he won't understand the things I did or why I did it. Marley comes in and hands a beer to Sam she sits next to him and smiles at him "Just relax I promise we all going to be okay" she says he smiles back at her trusting her words and takes a sip of the beer.
