Seokjin had meticulously planned this moment, ensuring that their first meeting would seem entirely coincidental. The charity art exhibition at a local gallery provided the perfect setting. He made sure his presence as a major benefactor was well-known, positioning himself as an influential and sophisticated figure.

As the evening unfolded, Seokjin’s eyes were constantly on the lookout for Taehyung. When he finally spotted him admiring a piece of modern art, Seokjin's pulse quickened. Taehyung looked captivating, his focus entirely on the painting before him.

Seokjin approached with calculated ease, stopping beside Taehyung. "Stunning, isn’t it?" he remarked, his voice smooth and refined.

Taehyung turned to look at him, a hint of surprise in his eyes. "Yes, it is," he replied softly. "The use of color is incredible."

Seokjin extended his hand, his expression warm and inviting. "Kim Seokjin. I’m one of the benefactors for tonight’s event."

Taehyung accepted the handshake, his grip firm yet gentle. "Kim Taehyung. It’s nice to meet you."

Seokjin smiled, his gaze lingering on Taehyung’s face. "A pleasure to meet you, Taehyung. Are you an artist yourself?"

Taehyung hesitated for a moment before nodding. "I’m a student, studying fine arts. I come to these events to find inspiration."

Seokjin’s smile deepened, a calculated mix of genuine interest and charm. "You have a keen eye. I’d love to hear more about your work. Perhaps over a drink?"

Taehyung glanced around, a flicker of wariness crossing his features. Despite his reservations, there was something undeniably intriguing about Seokjin. "Alright," he agreed cautiously. "Just for a bit."

They moved to a quieter corner of the gallery, where Seokjin ordered a glass of wine for Taehyung and a whiskey for himself. As they sipped their drinks, Seokjin skillfully guided the conversation, drawing Taehyung out of his shell. He asked about Taehyung’s inspirations, his favorite artists, and his aspirations for the future.

Taehyung found himself unexpectedly at ease, despite his initial apprehension. There was a magnetic quality to Seokjin, a charisma that was hard to ignore. Yet, beneath the surface, Taehyung couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to Seokjin than met the eye.

Their conversation was brief but intense, leaving both men with lingering thoughts as the evening wound down. Seokjin handed Taehyung a sleek business card, his gaze steady and intent. "If you ever need anything, or if you’d like to continue our conversation, don’t hesitate to contact me."

Taehyung accepted the card, his fingers brushing against Seokjin’s. "Thank you, Seokjin. I appreciate it."

"The pleasure was all mine," Seokjin replied, his smile lingering as he stepped away. He glanced back once, ensuring that the memory of their encounter would remain vivid in Taehyung’s mind.

As Taehyung watched him leave, a mixture of curiosity and caution swirled within him. He couldn’t deny the allure of Seokjin’s attention, but he also sensed a depth to the man that was both fascinating and unsettling.

Slipping the business card into his pocket, Taehyung couldn’t help but wonder what lay ahead. Their brief interaction had left a lasting impression on both of them, setting the stage for a connection that would inevitably alter their lives in ways Taehyung could not yet fathom.
