The mounting disappearances had left Taehyung in a state of perpetual unease. He couldn't shake the feeling that something sinister was at play, and the more he thought about it, the more he began to question Seokjin’s role in his life. The man had appeared out of nowhere, charming and attentive, yet there was an unsettling intensity in his gaze that Taehyung couldn’t ignore.

One evening, as Taehyung sat alone in his apartment, he replayed the events of the past few months in his mind. Seokjin had always seemed to appear at the right moments, offering comfort and support when Taehyung needed it most. But now, those moments felt orchestrated, like pieces of a larger, more disturbing puzzle.

Driven by a mix of fear and determination, Taehyung decided to confront Seokjin. He needed to know the truth, even if it meant facing the darkness head-on.

The next day, Taehyung sought out Seokjin at his office, a lavish building in the heart of the city. As he entered the opulent lobby, his heart pounded with a mix of anger and anxiety. When he was finally ushered into Seokjin’s office, he found the man seated behind a grand mahogany desk, exuding an air of calm authority.

“Taehyung,” Seokjin greeted, a smile spreading across his face. “What brings you here?”

Taehyung took a deep breath, his resolve hardening. “I need to talk to you, Seokjin. About everything that’s been happening.”

Seokjin’s smile faltered slightly, but he maintained his composure. “Of course. What’s on your mind?”

Taehyung stepped closer, his eyes narrowing. “My friends...they’ve been disappearing. And it all started after I met you. I can’t ignore the coincidence, Seokjin. What do you know about it?”

Seokjin’s expression shifted, a flicker of something dark crossing his features before he regained his charming demeanor. “Taehyung, I understand your concerns, but you’re making unfounded accusations. I’ve only ever tried to help you.”

“Help me?” Taehyung’s voice rose, a mix of anger and desperation. “How is this helping? Every time you show up, someone close to me disappears. What are you hiding, Seokjin?”

Seokjin stood, his calm exterior beginning to crack. “You don’t understand, Taehyung. Everything I’ve done has been for you, to protect you.”

“Protect me?” Taehyung’s eyes widened in disbelief. “By isolating me? By making me feel like I’m losing my mind?”

Seokjin’s mask of composure shattered, revealing the obsessive intensity beneath. “You don’t get it, do you? They were in the way. They didn’t deserve you. Only I do.”

The raw possessiveness in Seokjin’s voice sent a shiver down Taehyung’s spine. He took a step back, his mind racing. “You’re insane,” he whispered, shaking his head. “Stay away from me.”

Without waiting for a response, Taehyung turned and fled the office, his heart pounding in his chest. He ran through the streets, desperate to put as much distance between himself and Seokjin as possible.

Back in his office, Seokjin’s calm shattered completely. He swept everything off his desk in a fit of rage, his mind a storm of dark thoughts. He had come so close to having Taehyung completely under his control, and now, it felt like everything was slipping through his fingers.

Seokjin paced the room like a caged animal, his thoughts consumed by the need to reclaim what he saw as rightfully his. “You can’t escape me, Taehyung,” he muttered to himself, his eyes wild with mania. “You’ll see. You’ll come back to me. You have to.”

The heated argument and Taehyung’s abrupt departure had triggered something deep and dangerous within Seokjin. His obsession had crossed the line into madness, and he was willing to go to any lengths to bring Taehyung back into his grasp. As the night wore on, Seokjin’s plans grew more twisted, setting the stage for a confrontation that would push both men to their limits.
