Chapter 4: The Asteroid

*After spending some time at the Altar, Ignitus shows up*

Spyro: Ignitus! Great to see you!

Ignitus: Indeed young dragon, now, the asteroid will be hitting here in 5 minutes. It's not burning through our atmosphere yet, which gives you plenty of time to get up there.

Cynder: Spyro! Don't! We'll work together!

Spyro: Cynder! Where's the kids?!

Cynder: They're with Terrador!

*Spyro looks down and then up around*

Cynder: Spyro? Are you ok?

Spyro: Yeah, just confused and worried

Cynder: Well, don't be. We are here together forever.

Spyro: Alright, let's go destroy this asteroid!

*Spyro flies up to the asteroid*

Spyro: Cynder, you ready?

Cynder: Yes!

Spyro: On my signal, we wrap this dragon wire around it. I can handle the burning in the back. You focus on the front!

Cynder: Ok!

*They wrap the asteroid in dragon wire, hopefully to increase air resistance and to slow it down.

Ignitus: It's no use! The asteroid can't be slowed!

Spyro: Fuck... I guess there's one thing I must do...

Cynder: What?

Spyro: You don't want to know...

Cynder: What?!

Spyro: Goodbye... Cynder...

Cynder: Spyro! Don't!

Ignitus: Spyro!!!

*Spyro uses his time power to immediately slow down the asteroid and to explode it with his ice. After that, he gets flung right into the side of the building*

Everyone: Spyro!!!

Spyro: *coughs* D-dir I do it?

Cynder: Yes, it's over...

Spyro: *coughs heavily* C-Cynder...

Cynder: Yes Spyro?

Spyro: We had great adventures, didn't we?

Cynder: Yes we did, Spyro.

Spyro: And the kids, I'm so proud of them.

Cynder: Let me get the kids.

*Cynder rushes back to the Den.*

Cynder: Hey kids, come see your dad...

Flaire: What happened?

Pyro: Huh?

Cynder: Come.

*Both Pyro and Flaire sees Spyro laying on the ground*

Both: Dad!!

Spyro: *coughs* Hey kids...
