Chapter 2: The Awakening

*Spyro comes back and drops off the food*

Cynder: Welcome back Spyro.

Spyro: Howdy.

Pyro: Hey dad!

Flaire: Hey dad!

Spyro: Hi kids.

*They both eat*

Cynder: Hey Spyro?

Spyro: Yeah?

Cynder: Did you ever notice a star in the sky?

Spyro: Yes Cynder, I've seen them all the time.

Cynder: Well, this one is predicted to hit us soon, in about 20 years or so

Spyro: Damn...

Flaire: What?

Spyro: I'm afraid that this asteroid will wipe everyone out.

Cynder: We have to stop it!

Spyro: We can try, but since how we are a family, I don't think I can wake the powers inside me.

*After that night, Spyro head out and did some research*

Ignitus: What are you doing around here, Spyro?

Spyro: Cynder told me that this asteroid is gonna wipe everyone out.

Ignitus: Asteroid? I don't see an asteroid.

Spyro: Look, right there.

Ignitus: Where?

Spyro: Look 48 degrees to the left, and 78 degrees up.

Ignitus: Oh, I see it now! Ok, we gotta warn everyone.

Spyro: Cynder told me that it has approximately 20 years before it blasts us.

Ignitus: At least that gives us enough time to warn everyone.

*Advancing to 13 years* (Cynder and Spyro are 38, the kids are 16)

Spyro: Hey Cynder.

Cynder: Yes?

Spyro: Happy Anniversary!

Cynder: Thanks!

Spyro: Here. *He gives Cynder the most beautiful necklace. It's him, Cynder, and their two kids, all with diamonds.*

Cynder: This is so beautiful, thanks Spyro!

Spyro: Don't mention it.

Cynder: Hey Spyro, I got some news.

Spyro: Yes?

Cynder: The asteroid, it's inching closer.

Flaire: What's up Mom and Dad?

Cynder: Hey Flaire!

Pyro: What's up dad?

Spyro: Sup kids.

Flaire: Any new updates on the asteroid?

Cynder: Yes, it's getting closer.

Spyro: We gotta defeat it.

Ignitus: Yes.

Flaire: Who are you?

Ignitus: My name is Ignitus, I'm the one that guided Cynder and Spyro when they were younger.
