You squeal a bit as Ryuma applies some rubbing alcohol on one of the cuts you received during your training session with him.

Ryuma: I'm almost done... You're doing great.

He wraps up the final bandage around your arm before stepping away and putting away the cleaning supplies.

Ryuma: There, all finished.

Y/n: Touch me with that horrible substance and I'll really give you these hands!

Ryuma: Help. Someone. Please.

You laughed softly at his sarcasm and ruffled his hair gently. It felt soft, similar to silk.

Ryuma: Quit it, you're making me feel like a little boy.

He moves your hand away while chuckling. Over the last month, you've grown a close bond with Ryuma and started becoming good, almost best friends. Tough, he treats like you like a single mother.

Y/n: So, what now?

Ryuma; I think you deserve an award for your hard work. I know a nice place in Kawasaki City with THE best mochi, it's just perfect!

Y/n: Yeah, that sounds great, I'd like that.

Ryuma: Girl, that even better. Let's go now while we still can.

Y/n: Sure.

You stand up from the small bed and slide your school jacket on while heading out of the estate with Ryuma.

A boy makes his way to the Kinema Cinema to watch Human Earthworm 3. He seems tired, almost tired of life as a whole.

???: If there was a button for killing the people I don't like, I won't press it even if I I'd like to.  But if there was a button for killing the people who don't like me, I won't hesitate for a second to press it.

On the other side of the street, you and Ryuma make your way to the shop he mentioned while taking in the fresh air despite the weather. You were enjoying it when the boy bumps into you and Ryuma catches you.

???: I-I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean to bump into you!

Y/n: It's fine! It's on me, I wasn't looking where I was—

You get a better look on the boy and you eyes widen, memories starting to jog up in your head. The boy looks in confusion, but then, remembers you as well.

???: Y/n?

From those words, you knew exactly who he is.

Y/n: Junpei?

You both take a step back from the shock, and then, grinned and hugged each other.

Junpei: It's been so long! I haven't seen you since you moved to a different town in Sendai.

Y/n: I did, but now I'm back! How's your mom? How are you?!

Junpei: We're good. What are you doing back here?

Y/n: Oh, I was on my way to a shop here. This is Ryuma, my friend. Ryuma, this is Junpei.

Ryuma: Nice to meet you, Junpei.

Junpei: You too.

As much as you did, you knew you can't tell Junpei about Jujutsu High despite him being able to see curses.

Ryuma: We should be on our way now; the shop might be closing soon.

Y/n: I know, but now I want to hang out with Junpei...
