Alina sat in the car staring at the photos on her phone of her parents and her sister. She scrolled to the picture of her and her sister 16 birthday. She was standing next to her mom and her sister was in the middle of her and her dad was on Elenas side. They all had big smiles. Real smiles.
She wished that she could go back. To see her mom again. Even though she found out Miranda wasn't her real mom. She still loved her.
Tears dared to well in her eyes. She missed her family. She missed her sister. She missed the perfect cheerleader life.
She missed when she never knew vampires. She bit her lip trying to hold them back. She closed her photo app and turned her phone off.
The car that was once moving had came to a stop. Stefan and Klaus got out the car and she followed them.
Klaus looked at Alina who went straight to the bar. The bar guy came to her. "Just give me the strongest." She spoke.
Klaus began talking to Ray. The bartender placed her drink down which she gulped under seconds.
"Another please!" The guy looks at her confused. "I've had a bad day." She gives him a small frown.
Ray is chained to the wall, and has darts in his body. He's in a lot of pain. Stefan is sitting at the table across the wall and is stirring a glass of a drink with wolfsbane in it with a dart end.
He takes it out and throws it at him. The dart hits him. Klaus is just sitting next to them and watching.
Everyone else is acting as though nothing unusual is going on.
Klaus wondered what had Alina so upset. Well he already knew she didn't like him.
He could recall her being mean the whole time but there was something different about her now.
Klaus sits beside Alina. She looks at the ice in her drink thinking. He looks at the brunette. "What's on your mind?" He asked.
"Nothing you need to know." She rolled her eyes, drinking her drink.
Klaus laughed and flagged down the bartender. "I'll have what she has." The guy nodded. "Just curious." He asked. Alina bit her lip.
"It's my birthday." She looks at Klaus. The bartender places his drink down and walks away.
"Ah birthdays. I Remember birthdays. Nowadays they seem better." Alina sighs.
Klaus thinks of something to cheer the girl up. "I enjoyed birthdays. My mother use to show me a trick with her powers. She use to make butterflies."
Alina looked at him. "The original witch?" She asked. He nods. "Over the years though. I stopped caring."
"What was it like?" She said curiously. "Boring really." He says, grabbing his drink and drinking it.
