reze lets go of jakes hand as he gazes about him in growing wonder. He touches leaves as he passes, watching the bioluminescence shiver through them. 

Jake looks down as they cross a bed of purple moss which reacts to the pressure of their footsteps. Rings of green light, like ripples on a pond, expand outward from each footfall. Exploding rings of light where his feet touchdown.

they run over a large root, across a mirror like pool at the base of a waterfall. Jake follows reze, running along a raised root-trunk.

"What's your name?" jake reaches out for reze, she glances over her shoulder as a bolo snaps at him, spinning end for end before it tangles around his legs. He topples off the root and crashes into the foliage below.

Reze's eyes widen as she watches him hit the ground and struggle to untangle himself, getting up to run just as several navi riders thunder toward him. They are riding dire horses, reze grits her teeth and jumps down.

The riders aim bows and spears at Jake as they approach. Jake turns to bolt, but more appear out of the shadows, weapons aimed blocking his retreat.

"Tsu'tey, what are you doing?!" reze snaps, hissing towards the main rider, he glances at reze and sighs. Tsu'tey swings off his mount with fluid grace.

"i should have known!" he grumbles under his breath, turning his full attention to reze  "These demons are forbidden here. I will kill this one as a lesson to the others!" he draws his bow and reze grabs his hands, pushing them down, she glares towards him.

"There has been a sign. This is a matter for the Tsahik." she hisses Tsu'tey clenches his jaw with frustration, He turns and angrily remounts his dire horse, barking a command to the hunters.

"Bring him."

They grab Jake and haul him to his feet. Encircled by spears and bows, he is shoved forward along the trail, as Tsu'tey holds out his hand, reze harshly grabs it and lets the male pull her behind him.

she wraps her arm around his waist and he takes off, the others following. 

"what are you thinking?" Tsu'tey mutters. 

"there was a sign from eywa" reze hums. "what are you even doing out here?" 

"looking for you, after zize came back without you, your father sent us out to look for you" 

"there was no need, i can look after myself, i sent zize back" reze grumbles. 

jake looks up at the girl, watching as she talks to the man In Front, jake stares at them both, it's clear the girl and the boy know each other, but it makes jake wonder whether they are together or not.

jake is hauled roughly toward the village, Tsu'tey rides inside the columns at the base of Hometree, Reze's arms loop around his waist to hold herself on top of the horse, the man in front of her shouting an ululating warning.

reze swings from behind Tsu'tey with little to no effort, walking alongside the rider and in front of the captive. Jake is forced through the pillars into the central area.

his eyes stick to reze, the way her tail playfully swishes the village children as she passes, each giggling and playfully swatting it back, she chuckles and bounds on forward.

The villagers gather to see the arriving hunt party. mothers with babies, old women, young hunters. They gawk at the alien, expressions ranging from curiosity to outright hostility. The huge eyes of the children follow him.
