I lay on the wet rocky floor and felt like I was having the worst hangover of my life. My muscles were stiff and unresponsive and each attempt to move would tire me even more, worsening my discomfort. My vision was hazy and my ears ached, but I could faintly hear something I perceived as water dripping nearby. One droplet led to another and awaiting something to happen felt like an eternity. Amidst the dripping water, I started hearing some gentle purring, but where did it come from? So I began to observe my surroundings. Everything started as fuzzy, but slowly, my senses became clearer and clearer until I could finally focus on where the purring came from. The soft purring came behind me, which left me confused. I was baffled for a moment until I remembered rescuing the bunny. It likely escaped from my jacket when I was unconscious. The bunny then slowly started approaching my face, seeming worried. The bunny was grateful for saving him. This moment finally gave me the courage to try to get up. As I got up my stiff muscles were aching, my bones felt frail, and my head felt very light, but my attempt at the end was for nothing, as I fell to the cold ground, worsening my pain. I heard the bunny panic, sounding distressed as I fell to the ground. Seconds... minutes slowly went by... I was lying on the ground filled with hopelessness. Even the thought of saving someone couldn't keep me going. I was too weak for this.

Suddenly, I heard someone approaching. It seemed to come this way. I anxiously waited for it to get closer, and I felt even more nervous with every passing second. Then I saw something familiar. It was Amelia, my co-worker. She had come to save me."Jeez, Tobias you look so hurt. What happened?" Amelia looked shocked and relieved at the same time. At the same time reaching her hand."Thank god, you're here. I haven't ever felt worse." I grabbed her hand and slowly managed to stand. "Let's leave this place then, you already seem to have gotten the treasure." She was signaling for us to go."Sure, let's go," I followed her, feeling a sense of unease. "Do you know the way?""Not really, I just stumbled here while exploring this place. You had been reported as K.I.A." She was looking around staring at something. "It's a miracle that you are still alive.""Has that much time passed?" I scooped the bunny and stared at her. Waiting for her reaction. She fell silent, staring back at me. "Yes.""Don't forget the bunny," Amelia said suddenly, staring at me. You surely don't want to leave it behind."The stare felt really intimidating, she genuinely looked pissed, was she always this scary? I feel like I forgot something. So I asked her:"Do you know the way?""Not really, I just stumbled here. What's with the sounds?" "What sounds? —It's nothing. You aren't probably well.""The sounds are real, I mean everything here doesn't—" "Let's rest for a while, maybe it should ease you a little." "No, I mean they ar—" "Stay here I'll go around scouting ahead."Amelia leaves.I should do something. This Amelia isn't her. It's not her, but I don't it's wise to leave.Amelia suddenly came back. "Did you rest well. The path ahead looks fine"It's not even been a minute. How's she back already? "Yes, let's go now." Walking with her felt wrong. Maybe it's because we have never been the closest. And I barely know her really. Why do I keep doubting myself?Hmmm. Why is this bunny shaking so much. Ever since Amelia found me, the bunny started shaking.Wait... Why do I remember Amelia saying I was K.I.D twice. Is my memore serving me wrong. And something was wrong with her. Her appearance seemed normal, but she wasn't. Has something happened? I feel like I should tell her, but at the same time, I shouldn't. After all I can't remember things correctly now.The walls were not making this easier. Ever since I've got out of that room. The sounds have started. Sounds of bones broken, crying, laughter, and screaming all could be faintly heard from afar. And the faint footsteps I've been hearing. Maybe I should ask her."You hearing those sounds?"No, of course not. Are you not well? Haven't you gotten better even since your departure?"Didn't I just ask her that? But how did she know that I didn't feel well before this trip. Amelia that I know doesn't really care what other feels. But then the bunny started screaming, and it hopped off my arms and ran away.I tried to act suprised: "What just happened?""I don't know, the bunny just ran away." Amelia, her gaze staring at my soul. She probably knew what was I thinking. "Bunnies don't randomly run away. What could've caused this?" I tried to keep my suprised face as best as I could."It's fine, we can catch up to it later." She stopped staring at my soul. "You seriously need to rest. Don't be so dramatic.""...""What? I just got into watching shows. It's not like, people can't change their interests. And what do you even know about me?"Why did she get so defensive. Real Amelia would've told me to cut the crap and shut up. And that behavior seems similar to other Amelia that I once knew."Ma... Maybe you should just not say anything." I started to get very nervous and said this to by some time. I obviously needed to escape, but my legs still felt very sore. Amelia of course didn't leave this unnoticed. Taking slow steps to slowly close the gap between us. I desperately looked around, but to avail. She intentionally had lead me to dead end while I contemplated. She suddenly just stopped. She started maniacally laughing. Her laugh made my ears bleed. How can there exists a sound worse than anything else.I only could pray now. She knew that I didn't have strenght to run away from me.It almost seemed like my death was written down in a book. Predictably and gruesomely.
