She let go before glancing at me with tired eyes .

"It's been a tough few weeks you know ?" I listened attentively.

" school ... Things happening with my parents , it's not easy to deal with it all alone ." I nodded understandably.

" but you not alone , you can talk to God any time ... And you can text me any time , I promised you guys I'll always reply ." she smiled slightly .

" you so sweet Mel , you don't know how much you mean to me ." I chuckled shyly .

" you don't know how much you mean to me angel pie ." she chuckled too .

3 years later .....

" I trusted you ! You told me you'll never abandon me but you did !" charitythewriter exclaimed .
" I was just busy for goodness sake , it's not my fault I couldn't answer my phone !" I exclaimed as I watched hot tears roll down her face .

" you always working lately , it's like we don't exist to you anymore !" charitythewriter ran out while cosmiclynn glanced over at me before running after her too .

Was I really changing because of what I do ? Did I really forget about my friends that has been there for me since the beginning?

" i-i didn't mean to God ..." I said breathlessly with tears in my eyes .
It broke me to see us all drifting apart and maybe because of me .

I watched the rest of my friends glance at me .

" is it true that I changed ? That I forgot about you guys ?" I asked softly .

" well ... You have been different lately ." I sighed .

" be honest ." their faces fell .

" honestly speaking , we love and support what you do but it's like we've lost you .
You hardly give us time of yourself , you always busy , you don't say yes to hanging out with us anymore and as sad as it feels , we thought at some point you'll notice ." divinesouI confessed .

" I'm so ... so sorry ." she smiled slightly .

I glanced at The_original_Barbie who was shaking her head in disbelief .
We were the closest but here she was looking like her heart was sinking and I was the reason .

" I ... " she interrupted me sharply .

" don't love ... You just gonna make things worst by trying to fix things ." she proceeded to get up and walk out .

Who was I ? Was I really that selfish ?

Here I was , in front of her door , I was so nervous since I was the cause of most of her pain , she trusted me with almost every part of her heart and I broke it into pieces .

The door opened , revealing Charity who looked like she had just woken up .

" hey. " I smiled .

her gaze made me feel a little on edge .

" hey Mel ." at least she still calls me by my nickname .

" mind if I come in ?" I asked it in a way that sounded like I was intruding .

" nope ." she let me in as she closed the door behind us .

" so how is things going ?" she didn't make much eye contact , in fact she looked like she was uncomfortable .

" my parents went on the trip with their church , I offered to stay here just to watch over things ." I nodded understandably as I put my hands in my pockets .

" and how is your siblings ?" she chuckled .

" they doing awesome actually , Stanley is in 9th grade , Zoey is 3 and beginning to talk ." I smiled .

" that's so cute ." she smiled slightly .

" I had to explain why you not coming around anymore ... and that's never easy for me cause I basically have to make up some story that doesn't even fit in with the actual story ." I sighed in disbelief .

" like where did it all go wrong Mel ? With us ? With the entire group to begin with ? Like ... I believed in you , I thought you never break promises but you did ." I closed my eyes trying to bring my breathing to a normal pace .
