chapter 1

Ashley's P.o.v

I was walking around out side picking up trash that other people have thrown on my yard when I found a baby doll wearing a white and light blue striped onesie, I threw the trash away in the garbage can and walked back inside taking the baby doll with me. I set the doll down on the floor as I entered my house, and went to go sit on the couch. I turned the TV on and starting watching whatever was playing, when from the corner of my eye I saw someone sitting on the arm of the couch, I thought to myself, "I know it can't be my mom, she's out with her girl friends. So if its not my mom then who is it because I'm the only one at home right now." but when I went to look to see who it was it  was gone. I decided to get up to go to the kitchen and make some popcorn, after the popcorn was done I sat back down on the couch and started to flip through channels when I left it on the Discovery Channel because Ghost Adventures was playing. I clicked my phone on to see the time and it was already 11:52, "wow time really goes by when your not paying attention to it..." I turned the TV off and headed upstairs to my room and brushed my teeth,got dressed in my purple polka dotted pj pants and an old Christmas shirt , and crawled into my toasty king sized bed.

I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes, then checked the time, 3:27 am, I sighed and got up to get a glass of water and a snack. As I finished my Poptart, I Headed back to bed and got underneath my soft green blanket and tried to fall asleep again. About half an hour of me just staring at the blank grey ceiling I finally started to fall asleep again, but as I started to drift asleep I heard someone say "sleep well" in a sympathetic tone. I couldn't tell who it was but I just fell asleep anyway acting like I didn't hear anything.

----------- A couple hours later

I got out of bed and went to the kitchen and saw my mom cooking eggs and bacon for breakfast. as we sat down at the table and started eating I asked my mom if she came in my room and said sleep well. She said "yes" as she took a sip of her coffee, but I've been her daughter for 16 years, so I know when she's lying and when she's not. but let me tell you, She was lying. After breakfast I went to my room and got changed into a pair of tight fitted blue jeans, a simple gray t-shirt with a black leather jacket, and a pair of light brown knee high combat boots and headed back down stairs.
