Xisuma's POV:
I secretly made a bet with my brother that by the end of the year, Hot Guy would either become a villain or Poultry Man would become a hero. But at this rate, they might just end up as a secret couple. The way Scar's eyes light up when he looks at Grian, gently running his fingers through Grian’s feathers, speaks volumes. We were waiting for Grian to wake up, and Scar’s tender gestures made it clear he was smitten.
Mumbo was doing his best to keep things under control, reminding us that Grian was a heavy sleeper, especially after being passed out like this. While we waited, we decided to entertain ourselves with some board games. The living room quickly became a battleground. Monopoly turned into a shouting match, and there were so many table flips that it felt like a scene from a chaotic game show.
Scar, on the other hand, was an island of calm amidst the storm. He lounged on the couch, an amused smile playing on his lips as he watched the mayhem unfold. Despite the chaos, he didn’t seem interested in joining in. We tried to pull him into the fray, but he just shook his head, content to hold Grian with a gentleness that bordered on affection.
In the midst of this chaos, Xavier, or Death Void as he’s more ominously known, was trying to keep track of the game while maintaining a grumpy demeanor. Grim Dog, aka Ren, was enthusiastically hurling game pieces and shouting at the top of his lungs. Doc was engaged in some offbeat strategy that only he understood, which only added to the confusion. And then there was me, desperately trying to keep the chaos from spiraling further out of control.
The combination of the loud, competitive energy and Scar's serene focus on Grian created a strange contrast. The room was a cacophony of shouting, laughter, and the occasional crash of overturned game boards. In this whirl of activity, it seemed that Scar and Grian’s unspoken bond was the only calm amidst the chaos.
That is until Scar's hand suddenly gripped my shoulder. The touch was firm, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. I turned to look at him, only to be met with a smirk that was anything but reassuring. It was then that I realized Poultry Man was missing. A wave of unease washed over me as I scanned the room, searching for Grian.
Scar's smirk only widened as he noticed my growing concern. I tried to shake off the sense of dread in my stomach, but it persisted. The chaos around us seemed to intensify, the shouts and laughter blending into a disorienting buzz. My eyes darted from corner to corner, but there was no sign of Grian.
Scar's smirk was a stark contrast to the frantic energy of the room, and it made my unease even more pronounced. I knew something was up, but with the noise and commotion, finding answers was proving to be a challenge.
The room’s cacophony slowly faded as everyone began to notice Scar was no longer on the couch and Poultry Man was missing. Scar’s smirk transformed into a genuine, heartwarming smile, but the sense of dread in my gut only grew. I could sense that something was about to shift dramatically.
“Grian wanted to play a game,” Scar announced as he removed his hand from my shoulder and began to wander around with an air of playful mischief. Mumbo’s eyes widened as he pieced it together and his reaction was immediate.
“We need to find a hiding spot. A good one and fast!” Mumbo shouted, his voice cutting through the last vestiges of chaos.
It took a moment for the realization to hit me—Grian was seeking in a game of hide and seek. The frantic energy in the room turned into a whirlwind of movement as everyone scrambled to find the best hiding spots. Laughter and shouts echoed as people darted in every direction, the once orderly chaos now a frenzied game of cat and mouse.
As we hid, I noticed a faint chuckle coming from above. Looking up, I saw Poultry Man perched on the hanging bed, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he watched the pandemonium unfold. Grian wasn’t just observing the scattering from a distance; he was enjoying the chaos of everyone hiding, adding to the playful tension of the game.
