The Rope

Chapter 1

It was time for school to start for Ashley and the rest of her friends. They weren't really looking forward to it but they had to.
"I'm so not ready for school to start back!" I said to Alex, her brother.
"I know." He replied.
"Well, I get to get a new teacher and I get to see Andrea again!" Amy exclaimed.
"I get to see my friends too." Albert added.
"Well, I get to become enemies with my science book." Alex said.
"Enemies are bad, Alex." Amy said.
"We're going to be late on the first day of school if you keep talking." Mom said.
"Ok." I said grabbing my backpack.
Once we got to school I went straight to my locker.
"Hey, Ashley!" Ellie said giving me a squeeze.
"Hey, what's your first class?" I asked.
"Math. You?" Ellie said.
"Same as you. Save my seat." I said putting my bag in my locker.
Ellie left to save my seat then Jenna, Roxy, and Elizabeth turned the corner.
"Hey guys!" I said running to hug them.
"Hey girl!" Elizabeth said.
"What's up?" Jenna said.
"How've you been?" Roxy said.
"To many questions and what do you have first?" I said.
"I have math." Roxy said.
"I have English, boring." Jenna said.
"Science." Elizabeth said.
"I have math too, Roxy!" I said, "I wish you two were with us."
"I know I wish we could." Jenna said.
"I'm going to see who's in science see ya!" Elizabeth said walking toward Mille.
"Me too." Jenna said.
"Want to sit by Ellie and me?" I asked.
"Yea, sure!" Roxy said.
Once we got to class Ellie said that the teachers were missing! She said she looked everywhere and in the closet she found a piece of red rope.
"What!?" Roxy exclaimed.
"Let me see the rope." I said.
The rope was a red velvet color and was a little worn. It also had a coffee stain on it.
"I wonder if it has anything to do with the teachers." I stated.
"

Yeah, they could be tied up with this stuff." Roxy said.
"That's what I thought too." Ellie said.
"Let's look in the teacher's lounge." Roxy said.
Once we got in the teacher's lounge we found Mrs. Fitz's phone in the refrigerator.
"What? How does that work?" Ellie said.
"How would she disappear from the refrigerator?" I added.
"That makes no sense at all." Ellie said.
"Hey what are you doing in here?" John said.
John was one of my brothers friends.
"Nothing, what are you doing in here?" I said.
"Looking for the teachers, no can find them anywhere."
"Really?" Ellie said acting innocent.
"Yea, and Sam found some kind of rope." He said.
"I found some to in math." Ellie said.
"Where's Sam at?" Roxy asked.
"In science why?" He asked.
"To see what his rope looks like, of course." She replied.
"Ok thanks, see ya!" I said.
We headed to the science room and found Mr. Peterson's coffee cup spilled onto the floor. And Elizabeth was looking into the supply closet and for something and then all of a sudden she screamed.
"What is it?" I said running toward her.
"A....person is in...the closet!" Elizabeth said.
