"This is BAD!!" I said my legs trembling.
"But I don't recognize him." Ellie said.
"Me either." Roxy agreed.
"But how did he get in there." Elizabeth said her hands shaking so hard I thought they were going to fall off.
"Maybe you should sit down for a second, Elizabeth." Roxy said.
Once she sat down, Sam came and told us he found more rope in the teachers lounge, but it was under the refrigerator. And Shawn found some in the boys locker room. Gracie found some in the cafeteria's microwave which she also found a frozen breakfast sandwich. Bryan found some in the boys bathroom.
"Oh my gosh, there is rope everywhere!" Ellie said.
"I doesn't make since, it's in every classroom just about." I said.
"And there in the oddest places." Roxy added.
"It doesn't even go together, like why do we keep finding it? It has to have a pattern." I said thoughtfully.
"Ashley, do you even hear what your saying?" Roxy said.
Ellie nudged Roxy.
"Roxy, she's just giving a suggestion." Ellie whispered.
"Rope doesn't have a pattern." Roxy whispered back.
While they were having the secret conversation I went to look for more clues then I ran into Jeffrey.
"Hey, Ash!" Jeffrey said.
"Hey, J!" I said giving him a hug.
"What are you doing here, the teachers aren't here, it's time to PAR... TAAY!" He said hitting a dance move.
"No it's not time to party." I said looking down.
"Ash, what's up you never act like this." He said touching my shoulder.
"It's just... can I tell u something in a more private place." I whispered to him.
"Ugh.. sure." He said telling Sam he'd be back.
Jeffrey is one of my good friends at school. Some people think we're together, but we aren't. Some times they say to me 'Hey, do you know where your boyfriend is?' I always get annoyed when they do that. He doesn't seem to mind, sometimes he'll put his arm around my shoulder, when they tease us.
We were walking down the steps, when Jeffrey said, "Are you okay with when people say we're together, or look at the love birds, something like that?"
I wanted to say ,"Well duh!", but I said, "What do you think about?" Not wanting to hurt his feelings.
"It doesn't matter, I mean if it bothers you I'll tell them to stop." He said a little to serious for himself.
"Um it only does a little bit. But its totally fine." I said.
"Ok good, because I wouldn't mind you being my girlfriend." He said throwing his arm around me, and giving me a wink.
"Ugh... thank you?" I said uneasily.
"Hey, it's just how I roll." He said in a to-cool-for-school way.
"I know that, Jeffrey." I said telling him he needed to back off. He took his arm off my shoulder, and opened the door to the computer room.
"So, what were you going to tell me, Ash?" He said sitting down on the chair.
"Well the reason I was kinda acting different is my aunt works here and she disappeared, so I was-" I was interrupted by Jeffrey.
"I'll help you find her! I'll sweep you off your feet so then we can party!" He said.
"Thank you, but no." I said shaking my head.
"I don't get you, Ash." He said crossing his arms.
"I sure don't get you, J." I said hitting his arm.
"I know you don't." He said grabbing my hands and running me out if the door.
"Let's go cowgirl!" He said with a western accent, starting to galloping like a horse. Putting me on his back.
"Je-" I started.
"Quiet, cowgirl!" He said starting to "trot".
We laughed. As we ran people in the hall started laughing and pointing. I didn't care, I was having fun. They just wish they were getting a horseback ride by Jeffrey. Then Sam came to tease, of course.
"Hey, look who's found the perfect cowgirl." Sam said.
"That's me, Jeffrey, with the perfect cowgirl to give a ride!" He said giving Sam a bro hug.
"Sam, be quiet." I said getting off of Jeffrey's back.
"Hey, cowgirl what cha doin'" Elizabeth said.
"Having the best time of my life." I said laughing sarcastically.
"Well, I don't mean to take that fun away, we've got a problem." Elizabeth said taking me toward the computer room.
"What's wrong?" I said.
"Your aunt, I found her!" Elizabeth said.
"Where?" I said.
"Well...."
