Chapter 8

  The lights finally had came back on. The whole crew started upstairs. My brother, Alex, joined us.
"What's up with the squad?" He said when he saw us coming.
"We're on a mission to find Ms. Quinn." Jeffrey replied.
"Ms. Quinn? You mean, the future Mrs. Drew?!" He said, "Congrats Dr. Drew!"
"Thank you, Alex!" The doctor replied.
"How did you know about this?" I asked.
"Oh, it was simple: Saw a picture in her room of him, saw a ring in the desk drawer, and-" He started, but he was interrupted by Roxy.
"A ring?!"
"Yea, I'll show it to you." He said leading the way to Ms. Quinn's.
  Once we were in the room my brother showed us the beautiful diamond ring with sapphire stones are one the rim as well as the band.
"It's beautiful!" Elizabeth replied in awe.
"Could I put it on?" I said giggling.
"Sure, as long as you don't lose it, and it could be best because someone could steal it." He replied.
"No hints or anything." Roxy added.
We all laughed.
"Let's open the closet with the key." John  said lifting the key.
"Oh good idea. I almost forgot about it." I said.
Once we opened the door we found nothing really except for more pictures of Dr. Drew and Ms. Quinn.
"Wow, she must really love that you two are together." Jeffrey said glancing at me.
That caused me to blush and my hands got all sweaty. "Oh, no. I wonder if he actually thinks of me more than a friend. I know he's said things in the past that hinted, but I thought he was joking. And, John said that there was some one else who liked me. And, I don't really know who it is..."
"Wait, what's that thing over there." Elizabeth said pointing to a knob looking thing that was on the wall.
"Maybe it's  a secret door." Alex said.
"Yea, like in the movies!" Jeffrey said give him a high-five.
"Do we have a pry bar anywhere?" Timothy said looking around.
"I have one in my office." Dr. Drew said.
"I can go. I need a bandage for my arm, anyway." Alex said.
"I'll go with you." John said. And with that they went to the nurse's office.
  As soon as they left, Roxy was picking up a picture and noticed that there was a note on the back.
"Look at this!" She said.
"Another note?" Jeffrey said.
" Yep, it says, 'She belongs to me, but someone had to steal her. I will get her no matter what happens! And, if you try to stop me, then you will pay... BIG TIME!' Whoa, whoever this is is mad!" She stated.
"I have a feeling this is pointed at me." Dr. Drew said looking down, "I'm sorry, I'm causing you all problems."
"No, you're not the problem. It's whoever is coming up with this scheme!" I said defending Dr. Drew.
"Thank you, Ashley. But, I still feel responsible." He replied.
"It's ok we will find your wife- well- fiancé." Roxy said putting her hand on his arm.
"Thank you guys for understanding!" He replied starting to see if there was any other place he could find some other clues in the room.
  Eventually, all of us were looking around the room. There wasn't anything really special. We were just hoping that John and Alex would come back soon with the pry bar.
