The next morning, Sam woke up like normal, except he couldn't move. There was a weight on his chest. He cracked his eyes open, seeing that at some point in the night, Gabriel had practically crawled on top of him. He huffed, trying to keep from laughing.  Gabriel had arms locked around Sam's waist, his legs trapping one of Sam's between them.

He smiled at the mop of messy blonde hair. He knew he should get up and go to work, but he just didn't feel like it today. He decided he needed a few days to himself. He pulled his phone off his dresser, typing out a message to his secretary telling her that he was taking the rest of the week off and to pass his cases off to his coworkers.

He set his phone back down, ignoring her reply. He wrapped his arms around the sleeping octopus, smiling at the happy noise Gabriel made between his soft snores. This was a nice way to wake up, he decided. He watched the sun rise outside his window,  his fingers running through Gabriel's hair, earning more of his happy noises.

Sam felt Gabriel shift on top of him, glancing down in time to see his eyes crack open as he yawned.

"Good morning."

Gabriel mumbled back his reply,  looking around, slightly confused as to why his room looked different. He finally noticed how he was lying, his face heating up as he tried to untangle himself from Sam, only to get more tangled in the blanket and flop back on top of him.

"Sorry."

Sam laughed, locking his arms around Gabriel to keep him still.

"Looks like you're stuck here now."

Gabriel's blush darkened as he realized he couldn't move. He hid his face in Sam's neck, hoping he couldn't see his blush.

"You're cute when you wake up."

"Shouldn't you be at work?"

"I decided to take a few days off. Hang out with my favorite midget instead."

Gabriel pouted, wriggling up and biting Sam's shoulder playfully.

"I'm not a midget. You're just unreasonably tall."

Sam laughed, letting Gabriel roll off of him and back onto the bed.

"Whatever you say midget."

Gabriel growled softly, throwing the blanket off of him.

"I am not a midget. Take it back!"

Sam laughed at how adorable Gabriel looked when he was annoyed.

"Make me shorty."

Gabriel growled again, pouncing on top of sam. He moved at the last second, Gabriel landing under him and pinning him to the bed. Gabriel blushed again, realizing the position they were in. His eyes flickered to Sam's lips before going back to his eyes. In all the times they had been together, They had never kissed. Gabriel wondered what Sam's lips felt like, what he tasted like.

Sam leaned closer, closing half the distance between them before pausing.

"What's wrong, short stack? Cat got your tongue?"

Sam laughed, pulling back and sitting up on the edge of the bed. Gabriel slowed his breathing, trying to clear his head from the daze he had been in. He pouted slightly, realizing what Sam had done.

"This isn't over moose. You're lucky I'm hungry."

He hopped out of bed, going to the kitchen to start breakfast. Sam grinned to himself as he watched Gabriel leave. He recognized the look on Gabriel's face when he had him pinned. He wanted Sam to kiss him. Sam, however, was going to let Gabriel take this at his own pace. He wasn't going to do anything until Gabriel did.
