Y/n rolled her eyes as Draco fawned over the latest broom stick, going on and on about being the house to win the quidditch match this year.

'House.' She pondered. She wondered what house she would be placed in:
Gryffindor, the brave..
Hufflepuff, the loyal..
Ravenclaw, the smart..
And slytherin, the cunning.

She guessed she would no doubt be put in slytherin, with Draco, and the few other retired death eaters she knew. It was only logical, since her parents had both been slytherin. So she must be.

Narcisa tugged y/n into a potions store and flicked up every single ingredient she needed on the school list. Then, the 3 of them went to the next store, pulling the newest robes off the shelves, she got 6 robes for each of them, in the color of green. She must've had the same idea as y/n. Slytherin.

She wondered if her adoptive family would be angry if she was a different house, like Gryffindor. She shivered at the thought. The thought of being in the same room as Harry Potter. Oh, she would simply die. She wanted to kill him, make him suffer the same way she did. And she vowed she would.

Her thoughts cut off as Narcisa existed the shop and y/n hurried along. She picked out the rest of her school supplies and ended up with a black cat as a choice of a pet.

{2 weeks later}

Y/n walked through the wall of the train station, now in a world where a large train sat. It blew steam from its top. She read the sign, platform 9 and 3/4. She hugged her guardian goodbye, while Lucious gave both her and Draco a cold wave. She followed him into the train, sitting down in a compartment. The train horn blew and the train started moving, faster and faster til they were on their way. They passed lakes and mountains and hills she had never seen before. Y/n touched her hand to the glass, swallowing. She couldn't believe she was really going through with this. Hogwarts. She had dreamed of it, but dreams weren't reality. So she had no idea what's to come.

Hours later, they had arrived, a large stone castle came into view with tours so high, they might have reached clouds, hills and grass surrounded the castle. A lake was in view, and she could swear she saw a dozen boats, being led by lanterns and magic. The children in them looked small. First years, she guessed.

Y/n walked side by side with Draco to the castle, students around her seemed to give her meters of space, whispering things, and giving frightful looks to her. Electricity cracked between her fingers and Draco grabbed her wrist, shook his head. She took a deep breath. And she calmed myself before walking. They took steps up the stone stairs, through the corridors. And to the great dining room where over a hundred students sat at 4 tables, along with a 5th table for the teachers, Draco left me to go to his table and she stood next to the sorting hat, keeping my head down and ignoring the whispers of students.

Once she looked up, what she saw surprised her. Y/n's brother was here. She had only seen him twice through the years, she supposed he was hiding. She knew no one accepted him. How could they? It was one thing they had in common.
She sent Mattheo riddle a nod, and he shot me a forced smile, he looked as happy as her to be here. He stood next to y/n, waiting to be sorted.

She tuned her head as Dumbeldores loud yet elderly voice boomed through the dining room, and ever head snapped to him. Y/n crossed her arms behind her back, glancing at the room then to Dumbledore, who welcomed everyone (back). Mrs. Mcgonagal spoke a few words and she had us, older, unsorted, sixth years go first. Mattheo went before me and before the sorting hat even touched his head, it's voice bellowed "Slytherin" and the table erupted. The other tables were silent, staring, and the teachers looked visibly nervous. Who's decision was it to invite us riddles?

Now it was y/n's turn...
