"Aubrey," Isaiah called, tapping her calf muscle that was underneath the cover since he was at the foot of the bed. She tiredly turned her head to look at him with her hair all over the place and dried up saliva on the side of her mouth. She was sleeping good.
"Wake up. I need to talk to you before I go." He said, and the tone of his voice made her wipe her face as she sat up against the headboard.
"When did you get home? I thought you moved out or somethin'." She mumbled the last part under her breath as she climbed out of the bed while he pulled his black socks on.
Isaiah ended up spending all of yesterday with Namiko and didn't get home until close to two in the morning. Aubrey always went to sleep before ten o'clock so she was already knocked out by the time he got home. She never felt him get in the bed either because he slept in his man cave in the basement.
One thing she hated about being with him was that she was unable to question him. He was grown, paid all the bills in his own house and there was no ring on her finger so he rarely ever felt the need to answer her who, what, when and why questions. He had never cheated during the three years they'd been dating—up until now—so he felt like the questions about his whereabouts were pointless.
That's why she didn't bother to stay up and flash out on him when he walked in the house a whole day later after leaving at nine the previous night. It irritated her so bad but he never gave her any reason to worry about him being with another woman so the last thing on her mind was him cheating.
She just didn't know the bomb he was about to drop on her.
"What? You pregnant?" She sarcastically asked after plopping down on the bed a few moments later, now with minty breath.
"Nah. I'm fuckin' wit' somebody else though." He said without hesitation, and she laughed, thinking that he was being sarcastic with her. When she noticed that he hadn't cracked a grin, her expression went flat.
"You better be playing or I'm finna slap the shit out you my nigga."
"Man we been dragging this shit on for no reason when we both know it's time to move on Bre. I don't even be at the house no more and you be sleep when I am here. Only thing we do is fuck. Don't even ask each other 'bout our day no mo—,"
"Because you always act like you too tired for me Isaiah! I try to talk to you every morning but y—and you gone wake me up out my sleep to tell me you been with a bitch? Deadass? Bro I could've been left! You been feeling like this! You could've been said something Isaiah!" She was unable to even finish her first sentence because her anger caught up so quickly.
"I ain't realize it 'til I got wit' her. I ain't got no problem wit' you Aubrey. I just thought it was better to let you know now instead of cheating on you and dragging you along like this is somethin' that it's not."
"I ain't tryna argue wit' you. I'll pay for somebody to move your stuff if you want, just let me know." He grabbed his phone off the dresser, heading for the door.
