Rapunzel looked out her tower's window. It had only one. The tower was small, smaller than your average bedroom. Most of it was taken up by Rapunzel's bed, but there was also a medium sized vanity. She had a small closet, with only a few sets of clothes. Her closet was enchanted to keep her clothes clean, so she never had to worry there. Her window had a thick ledge, and this was Rapunzel spent most of her time. Her long blond hair hung down to the ground, at least fourth feet, maybe fifty. The hair hung heavily on her head, almost hurting it. She'd often contemplated cutting it, but she never did. The witch would surely be furious, and she didn't want to risk that. Also, she kind of liked her hair long, liked to be able to see it so far below her, almost endlessly. She was sure her hair would be the longest hair of anyone she knew, had she known anyone to compare it to. Well, there was the witch. However, the witch, with her ratty untamed mop of hair was hardly something for Rapunzel to compare her beautiful long golden locks to. Rapunzel kept staring out her window at a nearby lake. Oh, how she wished she could go swim in a lake. Rapunzel adored the lake, she loved all types of water. Whether it be rain water, the lake or even drinking water, Rapunzel loved water. But, the largest body of water she'd ever been in was bath water. She'd often dreamed of going into the lake, but she knew the witch would never allow it. It was a miracle she was even allowed to bathe. Rapunzel looked longingly at the lake for a while longer, before she saw something off. The lakes water began to spin, and Rapunzel's mind spun along with it. What was happening? The weather was fine, in fact, there was not a cloud in the sky. There wasn't even a slight breeze, so why on earth would the water spin? Then, Rapunzel realized what, or rather, who, it was. It was the witch. She was home early.
