The first light of dawn gently filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Jimin's breath was steady and calm as he slept, his arms wrapped protectively around Y/N. She lay there, eyes open, tracing the patterns on the ceiling with her gaze. The night had been long, filled with restless thoughts and silent tears.

Carefully, she shifted, slowly peeling Jimin's hand from around her waist. She paused, heart aching at the thought of waking him, but she knew she needed a moment alone. She slipped out of bed, the cool air of the room sending a shiver down her spine.

Quietly, she made her way to the bathroom. The door clicked shut behind her, and she leaned against it for a moment, taking a deep breath. The mirror loomed before her, reflecting the tired, pained expression on her face. She stepped closer, staring into her own eyes, trying to find strength.

Jimin's words from the night before echoed in her mind, a cruel reminder of the truth she had tried to deny. his voice thick with emotion. "It's tearing us apart."

She could still see the anguish in his eyes, feel the weight of his words pressing down on her chest. They had fought so hard to be together, against all odds, but now it seemed like the universe was conspiring to pull them apart.

She splashed some cold water on her face, hoping to wash away the sadness that clung to her. But no amount of water could cleanse the hurt in her heart. She stared at her reflection, her mind racing with doubts and fears. What if he was right? What if their love wasn't enough?

A single tear rolled down her cheek, and she quickly wiped it away. She couldn't afford to fall apart, not now. She needed to be strong, for both of them. She took a deep breath, steeling herself, and whispered to her reflection, "We can get through this. We have to."

The determination in her eyes was faint but growing. She knew the road ahead would be difficult, filled with more challenges and heartache. But she also knew that their love was worth fighting for, even if it meant enduring the pain and uncertainty that lay ahead.

As she turned off the light and opened the door, she glanced back at the mirror one last time. The woman staring back at her was tired and broken, but not defeated. She returned to the bedroom, sliding back under the covers, her resolve stronger than ever. Jimin stirred slightly, instinctively reaching out for her, and she allowed herself to be held once more, finding solace in his embrace.

For now, they were together, and that was enough.

The soft sound of Jimin’s ringtone pierced the morning silence, stirring him from sleep. He reached over to his phone, eyes still half-closed. Y/N, aware of his movements, kept her eyes shut, pretending to be asleep.

He glanced at her peaceful face and smiled tenderly. Leaning in, he kissed her forehead gently, not wanting to wake her. "I’ll be back soon," he whispered softly, slipping out of bed to get ready for the hospital. His movements were quiet and deliberate, not wanting to disturb her rest. Skipping breakfast, he left the house silently, closing the door with care.

Once she was sure he had gone, Y/N opened her eyes, sighing softly. She lay there for a moment, gathering her thoughts, before reaching for her phone on the nightstand. A notification blinked on the screen. It was a message from Jimin.

Jimin: I'll make everything alright. No one will come between us. Love you, angel.

A wave of unknown relief washed over her as she read his words. The knot in her chest loosened slightly, a small but significant comfort. She clung to the hope his message brought, allowing it to give her strength.

With renewed determination, she got out of bed and started her morning routine. Each action, from brushing her teeth to choosing her clothes, felt lighter. Jimin’s promise lingered in her mind, a beacon of hope in the uncertainty that clouded her heart.

As she prepared for work, she held onto his words, believing that together, they could overcome anything.

Y/N had been busy all day, her thoughts constantly drifting back to Jimin. Taehyung didn't come to the office, but there was no update from Jimin. As the hours passed, her worry grew. By late night, she found herself glancing at the wall clock.

Late night at their house

It was 12:20 a.m., and the sound of heavy rain filled the empty silence of the house.

Her phone lay beside her, tempting her to call him, but her pride held her back. What if he was with her? The thought gnawed at her, but she quickly shook it off. She didn't want to let her insecurities get the better of her.

Suddenly, the sound of the main door opening startled her. She turned, and there stood Jimin, drenched from head to toe, his clothes muddy and sticking to his skin. Before she could say a word, he walked past her, heading straight to their room and closing the door behind him.

Y/N sat there in shock, her mind racing with questions. What had happened? Where had he been? Despite her curiosity and worry, she remained silent, choosing to wait for him in the hall. She could hear the faint sounds of him moving around in the room, but she stayed put, giving him the space he seemed to need.

Her heart ached with concern and frustration. She wanted to comfort him, to know what had caused him to come home in such a state, but she also respected his unspoken request for a moment alone. So, she waited, hoping he would come out and share his troubles with her.

Jimin emerged from their room, his clothes now clean but his eyes red and puffy from tears. Without a word, he walked over to Y/N and pulled her into a tight embrace. She felt the tension in his body, the weight of whatever had happened pressing down on him.

Jimin : “I corrected my mistake,” he whispered, his voice trembling. “No one will come between us.”

Y/N was shocked by his sudden confession. She had been bracing herself for the worst, but his words brought a wave of relief. She smiled softly, wrapping her arms around him, feeling his warmth seep into her.

Jimin broke the hug just enough to look into her eyes. With a tenderness that made her heart ache, he kissed her. She kissed him back, pouring all her love and reassurance into that moment. When they finally pulled away, Y/N's eyes were filled with hope and curiosity.

Y/n : “Is she…?”

Before she could finish, Jimin shook his head.

Jimin : “Kia will never come between us. Never. Everything is alright now. From now on, it’s just us.”

Y/N felt a mix of happiness and shock. She wanted to ask what had happened, how he had managed to resolve everything so suddenly. But seeing the relief and joy in his eyes, she found the courage to trust his words.

Before she could say anything more, Jimin scooped her up into his arms and carried her to the bedroom. As he laid her gently on the bed, she knew that whatever had happened, they would face it together. And for the first time in a long while, she felt a sense of hope for their future.
