King's Landing
The castle was in chaos. Every handmaiden and maester was called upon as lady Aemma Arryn was in labor. Her loud screams could be heard throughout the Red Keep.
"Get it out!" Aemma yelled. "Get it out!"
"I can see the head, my lady. One big push." Grandmaester Mellos encouraged.
"Huaahhh!" Aemma pushed and finally felt something slip out of her.
"Wahhh! Wahhh!" The baby cried.
Just then, Prince Viserys burst into the room as soon as he heard the baby cry.
"How are they?" Viserys asked.
"Mother and babe are well, my prince." Mellos said. "You have a son."
"A son?" Viserys looked at his son and smiled. He then looked at Aemma.
"I'm alright, husband." Aemma said. Let me hold him. Without hesitation, Viserys carefully took the babe from Mellos and handed him to Aemma.
"Here he is. Here's our son." Viserys said with pride.
"We've yet to name him." Aemma pointed out.
Before Viserys could say anything, the doors burst open, and the crown prince Baelon Targaryen walked through them.
"What happy news this day. Where is he? Where is my grandson?" Baelon happily asked.
"He's here, father." Viserys said. Healthy.
"What of you, my lady?" Baelon asked.
"I'm much better now that he's here." Aemma weakly smiled.
Baelon looked at his grandson. "You will be a fine warrior. He said with pride. What have you named him?"
"We wish to call him Maekar." Aemma said.
"A fine name for a warrior prince." Baelon said. Before he could continue, the royal steward entered.
"My apologies, my princes, my lady. I bring word from Runestone. It's from your son, Prince Daemon." The royal steward said.
"He's in Runestone?" Viserys asked. He was surprised since he hadn't seen Daemon for a year. "What does it say, father?"
Baelon read the message. "Oh dear..."
Runestone
Lady Rhea Royce' chambers
"Huaahhh! Fuck!" Rhea Royce screamed. She had been in labor for the last 7 hours, and her babe wouldn't come out.
Under the insistence of his grandsire, Daemon went to Runestone and consummated his marriage with his wife. He hated being married to her, but he did not defy his father or grandfather. He stayed in Runestone when he heard that Rhea was pregnant and only chose to stay until the babe was born.
"Keep pushing, my lady." The maester said.
"Argh. Make it stop! Please make it stop!" Rhea begged. Daemon stood at the door and watched.
"Keep pushing, my lady." A handmaiden was encouraged.
"Guahhhh!" Rhea finally felt something slip out of her.
"Wahhh! Wahhhhh! Waaah!" The babe cried.
"Congratulations, my lady. You have a son." The maester said.
'S...son." Rhea weakly said.
"Let me see him." Daemon spoke up for the first time. He then looked at Rhea. "Well done." He then handed the babe to her.
