Episode 8: Revelation

[The episode opens with a flashback. We see Lilith's point of view as she awakes in Hell for the first time after being banished. Lilith sits up immediately after opening her eyes. She looks around the desolate, empty lands before starting to panic.]

Flashback Lilith: No, no, no, no! I can't be here! Where the fuck even is here?! LUCIFER!

[She stands up and turns around to see Lucifer sitting with his back turned to her. He has his legs pulled to his chest.]

You! You're the reason I'm in this place! You're the reason I got kicked out of Eden!

Flashback Lucifer: This is all my fault.

Flashback Lilith: Yeah, you're right. It is all your fault!

[Lucifer sniffs and buries his face in his arms.]

Flashback Lucifer: Oh, Lilith, I'm so sorry.

[Lilith relaxes. She looks down, feeling remorseful for her outburst before slowly approaching Lucifer.]

Flashback Lilith: Come on, now... [sits next to him] I'm sorry for what I said. I really liked the things you said about me in the trial. I'm sorry no one believed you.

Flashback Lucifer: [lifts his head] Their faces. They were so disappointed, especially Sera. She was the only one who had faith in me. And Gabriel...I'm the only one who takes care of him. I left so much behind.

Flashback Lilith: But...look at this...

[Lilith gestures to the land in front of them.]

Now we have so much in front of us. Sure it'll take a while, but I think we can do it together.

[Lilith extends her hand to Lucifer who takes it. He smiles at her, and they stand up together.]

Alright...where do we start?

[Cuts several years into the future. The camera pans into a castle decorated with the iconic apple emblems, revealing the estate belongs to the Morningstars. We cut inside a bedroom. Lilith sits in a chair beside an exhausted but smiling Lucifer.]

Servant: Congratulations, Your Majesties, it's a girl.

[A servant lifts baby Charlie, wrapped in a blanket, into Lucifer's arms.]

Lucifer: Look at her. Isn't she the most gorgeous little thing you've ever seen?

Lilith: Yeah...imagine all the power she'll have.

[Lucifer's face falls. He stares at Lilith for a bit.]

Lucifer: Would you like to hold her?

[Lilith shakes her head. Lucifer sighs and turns back to Charlie. She babbles and wiggles in the blanket. Lucifer sniffs and wipes a tear from his eye.]

Lucifer: I love you more than anything.

[Cuts to present day Lucifer who sits at his desk. He takes off his wedding ring and puts it down in front of him. He groans tiredly and rubs his eyes.]

Lucifer: Where'd I go wrong?

[Someone knocks on the door softly, and Lucifer turns around.]

Come in.

[Vaggie opens the door and walks into the room. It's apparent she's been crying judging by the streaks of makeup on her face. She attempts to wipe them away when she sees Lucifer.]
