LUNAR BREATHING:
Lunar breathing was developed by a powerful swordsman named Tuskiya Hazuki who was once a Hashira. The swordsman was fascinated by the moon's calm, powerful presence, which gave light to the darkness and influence the tides. He aimed to create a breathing style that mirrored these qualities, — calm, rhythmic, and with the potential for overwhelming power. This breathing style is known for its elegance and precision, resembling a graceful dance under the moonlight. However, the intricate nature of the techniques require a men, concentration and balance, making it one of the more challenging styles to master.THE LUNAR HASHIRA AND HIS BACKSTORY (kinda):
Tsukiya Hazuki, known as the Lunar Hashira, was born into a family of artisans who specialized in crafting silver jewelry, and ornaments, inspired by the beauty of the moon. Growing up, Tuskiya was captivated by the moons, tranquil, powerful presence, which became central theme in his life. Despite his peaceful nature, Tuskiya's village was attacked by demons, leading to the tragic loss of his family. Determined to prevent others from suffering, the same fate, Tuskiya join the Demon Slayer Corps. He was initially trained in water breathing, but felt a deep connection to the moon's energy. Tsukyia spent years meditating under the moonlight, developing a unique breathing style. He rose to the rank of Hashi known for his calm demeanor and deadly precision. He was also known to be very compassionate and collected towards troubled families, and was also very picky for whom would be his successor and carry on the legacy of Lunar breathing.NICHIRIN SWORD/KATANA DESCRIPTION:
The katana of a Lunar breathing user, often referred to as the "moon-blade", has a unique design. The blade has a silvery sheen that reflects light like moonlight, with a faint blue tint along the edge. The hilt is wrapped in dark blue and silver, with a tsuba (guard) shaped like a crescent moon. The swords scabbard is adorned with lunar motifs and phases of the moon, signify the different forms of the breathing style.LUNAR BREATHING FORMS:
First Form: Crescent Strike
A swift, crescent-shaped slash that mimics the crescent moons arc. This form is used to deliver fast, precise strike that can decapitate demons in a single blow.Second Form: Half Moon Gale
A powerful, sweeping slash that generates a gust of wind, capable of pushing back enemies and deflecting projectiles. The movement resembles the moon's half phase, combining both offense and defense.Third Form: Full Moon Reflection
A defensive stance where the user deflects incoming attacks with a circular motion of their blade. This form emphasizes counter-attacks.Fourth Form: Lunar Eclipse Blade
A series of rapid slashes that resemble the phases of a lunar eclipse. The strikes come from multiple angles, overwhelming the opponent.Fifth Form: Silver Tides
A fluid, flowing technique that mimics the moon's influence on the ocean's tides. The user flows around the battlefield, dodging and attacking with smooth, unpredictable movements.Sixth Form: Nightfall Mirage
A technique that creates after-images of the user, confusing the opponent and allowing for stealthy attacks.Seventh Form: Moonlit Tempest
A whirlwind of slashes that surround the user, like a storm under the moon. This form is used to attack multiple enemies or create space.Eighth Form: Luminous Slice
A powerful, concentrated slash that glows with a silver light, cutting through even the toughest demon flesh (with good training that is). The light is blinding to demons disorienting their vision slightly.Ninth Form: Lunar Illusion
A technique that distorts the opponents perception, making it appear as though the user is attacking for multiple directions at once. This form requires precise control, and timing to fully master.Tenth Form: Moon's Wrath
The most powerful form, where the user channels all of their energy into a single, devastating slash. The attack is swift and merciless and embodying the moon's silent, cold presence. It leaves a luminous trail in its wake, resembling a full moons glow.DRAWBACKS TO USING THIS BREATHING STYLE:
Mental Fatigue:
The precision and concentration required for Lunar breathing can lead to mental fatigue, making it difficult to maintain in prolonged battles without proper training.Physical Strain:
The flowing and graceful movements can be physically demanding, especially with the more advanced forms, which require a high-level of agility and flexibility.Limited Effectiveness in Daylight:
The techniques are enhanced in the moonlight, giving this breathing style more power. However, in daylight or artificial light, the user may not perform at their peak, as the breathing is tied to the moons influence.High Learning Curve:
Due to its complex nature, Lunar breathing is difficult to learn and master. It requires a deep understanding of rhythm, balance, and good timing, making it less accessible to demon slayers.Illusion Vulnerability:
Some forms, like Lunar Illusion, rely on confusing the opponent. However, if the opponent can see through these illusions or is immune to them, these forms lose their effectiveness.Availability/easy-hard levels of beginning mastering:
Easier Forms to Master:
First Form: Crescent Strike
Reason: This form involves a straightforward, single slash, making the most basic and easiest execute
Second Form: Half-Moon Gale
Reason: It involves a simple sweeping motion, combined with a gust of wind, making it the second easiest form to truly master.
Third Form: Full Moon Reflection
Reason: Primarily a defensive form, it focuses on parrying and counter-attacks, which, while requiring good timing, is less complex in movement.
Fifth Form: Silver Tides
Reason: While requiring fluidity and adaptability, the movements are more about flowing with the battle, making it less taxing mentally.MODERATE DIFFICULTY FORMS:
Forth Form: Lunar Eclipse Blade
Reason: This form involves a series of rapid slashes, which require good speed, and control, but aren't overly complex.
Sixth Form: Nightfall Mirage
Reason: Creating after-images and using stealth, requires a moderate level of skill, combining speed, and precision.
Seventh Form: Moonlit Tempest
Reason: The whirlwind of slashes needs good physical stamina, and spatial awareness to avoid losing control of the technique.HARDEST FORMS TO MASTER:
Eighth Form: Luminous Slice
Reason: This form requires focusing a large amount of energy into a single tap, demanding both mental and physical control.
Ninth Form: Lunar Illusion
Reason: Creating convincing illusions, requires precise timing, and psychological insight, making it difficult to master.
Tenth Form: Moon's Wrath
Reason: This form requires the user to channel all of their energy and focus into a single, devastating blow. It's extremely powerful, but taxing, requiring perfect execution.———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
