———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————Ah yes.. The inevitable tears of pain that came from taking out the wood, and cleaning the small splinter that had unfortunately been planted in Yumiko's palm.
She was slightly irritated, at the persistent screams, but also mildly impressed at the incredibly high tone Yumiko was achieving.
It seemed like her little brother was putting his heart and soul into that single scream. Which was diminished the second she wrapped his finger in a bandage.
He leapt up out of the chair and scurried back out in to the unforgiving forest, "Be careful you big moron!" She called out jokingly to Yumiko as he ran off into the distance, back towards the chopping grounds. Has he learned nothing?
And as if to prove her point, Yumiko tripped over a rock and fell face first. To her amazement he got right back up, dusted his shorts off and continued to prance around the trees.
Suddenly she had the feeling he was almost faking his injury's pain to get out of whatever Sora was doing to him.
Wasn't he the one who practically begged to go out and learn the skill of chopping wood? (it wasn't even a skill, he was just to young to learn before).
Speaking of the devil, where was Sora while (Name) was tending to her younger brother's 'wound?'
Well he was sitting off to the side drinking some water and tuning out the world. Much to her annoyance. He only stood back up to follow Yumiko back into the woods, making sure he didn't get lost, accidentally chop off his arms or something like that.
While he walked off, following the path of spread leaves Yumiko made, she took the opportunity to throw a small rock at the back of his head. That was for a prank he had Yumiko play on her. She rolled her eyes as she remembered the scene that happened a few days ago.
She had been washing her work clothes and yukata that had been dirtied a few moments before hand.
She had also taken it upon herself to wash her brother's clothes as well, they smelled like a failed marriage. And she knew that was nasty.
So there she was, working her ass off to keep everyone clean and not smelling like a bad conspiracy theory, when all of a sudden she felt a heavy object hit her head. It stuck for a second and then melted. God. It melted in her hair.
When she had come back from her state of shock, she touched the backside of her head. Only to find that a ball of mud had been thrown in her hair.
When she flipped her head around in irritation, she saw Yumiko getting ready for another shot. He stopped dead in his tracks when he looked at her.
She looked at him, he looked at her, and they stayed like that for a few moments.
Then she jumped. Well.. More like lunged at him. And before he could even do anything, she had already had him in a headlock and was shaking him around, screaming profanities at him.
And she knows, maybe she shouldn't be screaming profanities at seven-year-old, but what choice did she have?
Actually, probably many. But none of that crossed her mind, so that young boy probably learned plenty of things to call someone he doesn't particularly enjoy around him. (Obviously jokingly of course)
