"......how much longer till we get to this damn town?!!!" Gray shouts. It's been quite a while since Gray, Natsu, Happy, and Lucy have departed on their journey. Gray has grown impatient as he was expecting to arrive quickly to get the mission over with. "Relaaax, we're almost there!" Natsu says with enthusiasm. Gray's eye twitches. "You've said that for the past 3 hours!!!"
Lucy awkwardly laughs. "Gray we are almost there I swear. According to this map we should beeee......here!"
The group has finally arrived at their destination, Grand Vand! It is a small town surrounded by a river of water. Normally a peaceful little town but recently a small group of delinquent mages have broken the peace.
"Alright so there should be a bridge right around here so we can cross into the town." Lucy says as she looks around. "I FOUND IT!!!" Happy exclaims. Everyone makes their way down to the bridge. As they make their way down, the town seems almost barren. "Where are the towns people?" Gray asks.
They make their way into the town, a very seemingly empty town. "Natsu, where the hell did you bring us. Are you even sure this is a real mission?! Where are the towns people?" Gray is confused and irritated. "Obviously it's real, I got it off the board. How should I know where the people are? Let's just find the delinquents, I'm ready for a fight!" Natsu says as he cocks his head around trying to find a target.
Lucy walks a few feet behind Natsu and Gray as she is looking at the map figuring out the lay out. They make their way toward the center of the town and Lucy feels an ominous feeling of someone watching her. She quickly turns her head to look behind, and no one's there. "Guys, don't you feel like someone's watching us? I'm getting creeped out here. I can't see anyone but I feel like someone's here." Lucy quivers.
"HEY! COME ON OUT!" Natsu shouts into the distance.
Suddenly a drop of water falls on Lucy's shoulder.
"WHAT WAS THAT!!!" She freaks outs. "Oh it was just a drop of water." Lucy says awkwardly.
Gray looks up at the sky, "There are no clouds though."
Suddenly they feel the ground rumbling. "What is happening" Lucy is in tears. She looks behind down an alley, a huge wave of water makes its appearance and is heading straight towards the group. "WHAT IS THAT?!" Lucy shouts as she starts running.
"ICE-MAKE SHIELD!!" Gray creates an ice wall blocking the wave from hitting them. "SHOW YOURSELF YOU COWARD!" The wave crashes against the wall and disappears into the ground.
"Not bad. That was just a little test to see what you guys would do." A strange voice is heard echoing through the town. "I didn't know an ice mage would make his way down here, this should be fun."
"WHERE ARE YOU!! LETS FIGHT!" Natsu exclaims.
Lucy is watching her surroundings trying to find where this voice is coming from when a water attack is headed straight for Natsu, "NATSU WATCH OUT!"
Natsu turns to the right of him and quickly ducks. The group presses their backs to each other looking out for any more attacks when suddenly 3 shadows begin making their way up to them.
"You've got some fast reflexes for a kid." A tall man with a black tall hat is the first to appear and speak. On his right is a smaller lad with teal curly, short hair. And on his left a shy girl with black, knee length, straight hair. "What brings you to our lovely town?" The man asks in a cocky tone.
"A mission with the price of 100,000 jewels to beat you three." Natsu says blatantly. Gray smacks his head. "Can you shut up."
The tall man laughs. "Oh really, and why us?" He makes his way closer to Natsu.
"Hmmm....cause you look like a stupid villain." Natsu says with a straight face.
"STUPID?! Who do you think you're calling stupid you tiny prick?!" The tall man shouts.
"Where are the towns people? What have you done to them?" Lucy questions.
"What do you mean, they're all here." The short lad responds in a sinister way.
The short lad points towards the shy girl. She jumps at the sudden spot light on her. She darts her eyes around and then opens her palms and there a cloud of bubbles made of water appear. Behind all the bubbles the shy girl is now exhibiting a sinister smile.
"The people....they are trapped in those bubbles?!" Lucy exclaims in a worried tone.
"Oh well I guess I am a villain, whoops." The tall man says as he attacks Natsu with a water whip.
"I'm getting fired up!" Natsu shouts as he dodges the whip.
"Oh you look rather handsome, it's making me red in the face just seeing you." The shy girl says as she makes her way over to Gray.
Gray gets into a fighting stance, "thanks but I don't care for your compliments."
"Hehehe....I can't wait to beat you so I can take control of you!" The short lad says excitingly.
"Why do I have to get this guy!" Lucy cries out.
Within 5 minutes the villains...or I guess amateurs, were defeated and tied up.
"Thank you so much for your help! We sent out that mission before we got trapped in those bubbles. These kids have been using our town as their play ground to train their magic. We never knew they would learn to trap us, the whole town!" A small old man exclaims. "We thank you. None of our towns people here are mages. We didn't have any one to protect us from them. Here is your reward."
"Thank you sir! Call out to us any time you're in trouble again!" Lucy says as she takes the bags of jewels.
The group makes their way out of the town with the towns people behind shouting and cheering.
"That was so BORING! I wanna go on another mission!" Natsu says grumpily.
"I didn't expect all three of them to be so weak. That first wave attack had me thinking they were a lot stronger, only to find out it took all three of them to create that one wave and it took most of the magic in them." Gray says as he scratches his head.
"Well I'm happy I got to leave without a scratch and a whole ton of jewels!!" Lucy says as her eyes shine seeing the jewels.
"I know Gray's happy to make his way back to Juviaaa." Happy makes a kissy face towards Gray. Gray pushes him away.
"HEY YOU WANNA HAVE A GO?!" Nastu shouts.
"Oh shut up, we have a long way to go till we're home." Gray glares at Natsu.
The two continued arguing on their 3 hour journey back home.
