Here Again, Without You

chapter 7

 Marleena was there and had already congratulated her on the new arrivals to be when she was at the hospital with her. So now everyone will also know as well that Kelby would be expecting her first children as well. Donald was very surprised to see the sonogram it intrigued him from the standpoint of the computer tomography of capturing something in the body.

After everyone had left Kelby went to her room taking Ethan with her while Donald showed his uncle to his room for the night. Ethan looking at Kelby "We flew the jet out here yesterday and your dad and I will be leaving tomorrow afternoon to head back home. What do you want to do? Would you want to have the jet at your disposal to fly back home when you are finished here?"

"That sounds like a nice idea. Would you fly out to pick me up or would your mom be willing to fly out?" Kelby said hoping it would be her mother in law Julia so she could talk to her about what she is feeling.

Ethan responded "I think that mom might want to come pick you up and take you shopping for the babies. How does a trip to Italy sound to you? Would you want to go see Shari and the kids there?"

"Oh wow maybe later after our little ones have arrived" Kelby said thinking about the time of the flight.

Sunday afternoon came quickly with Ethan and Ronnie leaving on the Callsburg-Dakster jet to head back home to Mister, Oklahoma for them to get back to work on Monday. Kelby was already feeling alone since Ethan had left. She sent a text "I love you and miss you. Remember to eat and make sure that dad eats as well. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather there." After Ethan and Ronnie had made it home and in the house Ethan felt the phone vibrate in his pocket taking it out to see the message sent from Kelby, he replied "You remember to take snacks with you for eating as you are eating for the three of you now and stay hydrated as well wear warmer clothes as it is cooler there. Remember we love you to the moon and beyond infinity. I'll miss you while you are there and not here with me. Love you muches" Kelby seeing the reply fell asleep in her room snuggling under the covers to be rudely awakened by the sound of boards being torn and ripped apart. Quickly getting out of bed and dressing she opened her door to find the house totally gone except her room and the staircase which led up to her room still intact.

Ever so slowly did she take the stairs one step at a time as there was nothing holding them up or providing them support. Finally reaching the bottom with out any problem she looked around the residual house for Donald, knowing he might have been in the study she went there to look and found that he had hid under the big oak desk he had in there with a little leg room that allowed for his torso and head to fit in safely. Finding his legs under a beam from the second floor she asked if he was okay for now and found another piece of wood to use as leverage to lift the beam off of his legs so he could move out of the way. When Donald was able to move his legs out away from the beam he looked up to see the room where she was at and the stairs were still intact and the rest of the house was gone from around him.

Laughing at the situation Kelby said "Well if that doesn't beat all, I know what to do now. We have to build you a house that is super wind proof and a tornado can't tear down."

Donald had a look of bewilderment and shock "What do you mean by super wind proof and a tornado can't tear it down?"

"Just what I said. Are you aware that tornadoes are picky about whose house and what area attract them. Well I guess I have my work cut out for me here now." Kelby sighed heavily.

Monday was spent cleaning the town up from the damage caused by the tornado and high winds. Kelby took a walk about in the town and saw that the Princess Tower Hotel had been leveled to the first floor by the twister. And the hospital and schools were all left intact with a few businesses office areas. She found the Sharm's conglomerate enterprise building was still standing with only the glass broken out in some of the offices above the fourth floor. Walking through the front door to enter the lobby she found Marleena there.

"Marleena, How are you doing? What do you need me to do?" Kelby said in her boss tone of voice

"Oh Kelby the Princess tower hotel it is a pile of rubble now. And I have another contract that I just cannot allow to be made cheaply again so is there anything you can do with this?" Marleena sounding desperate for the help.

"Show me the draft design for the Princess Towers Hotel, then we will start with that first by cleaning away all of the rubble and making it to be the ground work for the New Princess Tower Hotel so lets start there first." Kelby suggested.

Kelby pulled together a crew and in the next three days half of the debris was turned into rubble mesh for the foundation of the New Princess Tower Hotel. Another three days the rest of the debris was also turned in the same rubble mesh for the safe room on the ground floor outside the Princess tower hotel. The crew that Kelby put together was the crew that Treyce had working for him and left when he had to do the playground equipment and maintenance they needed to pay their bills by working for their monies.
