Randy Marsh, a brilliant but mischievous mad scientist, was a constant source of tension for his wife, Sharon Marsh. The couple's fighting often escalated due to Randy's pursuit of a world without conflict, which only seemed to cause more problems. One day, Sharon stumbled upon the Twilight-Heart, which spoke to her, "Come join us celestials... And we'll make the world peace.." the heart spoke, tricking her into believing that she could bring peace to the world by joining it. Little did she know, she was being manipulated into protecting the heart from being used by anyone.

As Sharon transformed into the first-ever Celestial Goddess, Randy was forced to face her in battle. Their children, Stan and Shelley,

were Caught in the middle of the chaotic conflict. While Shelley, as the older sister, courageously shielded Stan from the horrors of war, the violence and bloodshed left both siblings scarred and shaken. Their family was torn apart, and the peace they yearned for seemed to slip further away with every passing day.

As the war raged on, Shelley's unwavering determination to protect Stan proved to be a costly sacrifice. In the midst of the chaos, she fell victim to the powerful energy that her mother, the Celestial Queen, possessed. Her soul was taken away, ripping a hole in Stan's heart and leaving him in a state of profound shock and grief. Yet, in a moment of unexpected compassion, Sharon, tormented by guilt and love for her children, showed mercy towards Stan.

After losing his sister Shelley and being spared by his mother, Stan found himself alone in the world. In search of purpose and companions, he discovered the Lightborn Squad, an organization dedicated to protecting the people. With determination, Stan joined the squad and threw himself into training, using his grief as motivation to become a strong defender and protector.
