Carry You -Ruelle, Fleurie
Lana.
I groan as my body aches in pain from the impact of me falling two stories and landing on my back, as well as the pain in my stomach because of the thick piece of rubble that is laying on top of me. I can't hear anything besides the ringing in my ears, and I can't see through the thick dust around me. My head feels like it's going to explode. The detonator must have been linked to something below us, causing the collapse of the floor underneath our feet.
I yell out in surprise once I try to move the rubble off of me, my body now in excruciating pain. I do my best to block it out, and when that doesn't work I decide to just push through it as much as possible. After constant grunts of pain through gritted teeth, I was able to push through and find enough strength to get the big concrete piece off of my body. It falls hard onto the floor beside me.
Though I realize my side hurt the most. I wasn't sure why, until I was finally able to see through the dust all the rubble created, and looked down to see my entire left side covered in blood that is still seeping through. Good thing I wear all black.
Apparently on my exciting trip falling through two stories of a warehouse that was crumbling to pieces, I had hit my side. Well, impaled my side.
At first I was wondering why I hadn't bleed out yet, considering the amount of blood on my shirt. I quickly got the answer when I tried to sit up. I yelled out in pain before stopping all movement of my lower body. When I looked down, I noticed something sticking out of my abdomen. It was part of a thin metal rod, probably something that was used to help hold the walls of this place steady. Clearly, it does a terrible job.
If I don't get out of here, I will probably bleed to death.
That's gonna be fun to deal with. It was already gonna be nearly impossible to get out of here with all the rubble surrounding me, let alone with an injured side. It wasn't until I sat still for a couple of seconds that I realized I wasn't the only person down here. I let out a grunt of pain as I push myself up into a sitting position against the still intact wall behind me. I was guessing by the way I didn't keep falling, I was on the ground floor. Great.
Once all the dust finally settles completely, and rubble stops falling from the higher floors, I am able to see my surroundings. Kali lays a couple feet in front of me. From what I can see, she doesn't have any super concerning injuries, other than the fact that she's unconscious. I think. Currently, we are surrounded by rubble, and I am sitting on top of some larger pieces, but there is light shining down on me.
Or maybe I bled out faster than I thought. Don't look into the light, Lana.
I look up, blinking my eyes as I adjust to the dust and dirt in my eyeballs. The ceiling to the top floor had collapsed, along with the other two floors under it, which now surrounded us in pieces, leaving the entire space above us completely open. The sides of the building held up mostly. Basically, I was in a giant empty well.
And there was no way I was gonna be able to climb out.
"Kali." I cough after trying to call out to her. Guess I ate some dirt too. I clear my throat before trying again. "Kali." I say it a little louder this time, but still no response. I really hope she just got knocked out. I start thinking about the others. Judging by the amount of damage that blast did, I can only assume that they got blown across the building a couple feet. It was far enough away for them to not join the party down here so their injuries should be pretty minor.
Should be.
I'm quickly pulled out of my haunting thoughts as I hear my name being called.
I shoot up head up, using my other hand that wasn't putting pressure on my wound to block out the extreme flashlight currently burning into my eyes. "Lana?" That would be Parker. He's smart, he'll get us out.
