—Who would've thought being lost in the rain was fun?

Today was Friday night. It was raining heavily, I couldn't help but watch the raindrops touch the ground. I found peace in raining, as I always play in the rain when I was young.

"Y/n, sweetie? It's raining, don't you wanna play outside?" I heard my mom say as I thought about playing in the rain.

I quickly wear my white t-shirt along with long black sweatpants. I usually wear these clothes whenever I play in the rain since It's more comfortable.

"Right, mom. I'll be playing in the rain, I'll be back soon" I said as I wave. She waved back and nodded.

I head outside, I felt the wind blowing as the rain began to pour on me. I smiled, walking through the sidewalks along with the rain.

I went somewhere near the river. I sat on the ground as I feel the cold breeze touch my skin. It was fun, there was no thunderstorm so it was safe.

Hours has passed

I heard footsteps behind me as I turn my head to see who it was. I had been sitting on the ground, watching the river. I saw a familiar face, my eyes widen.

His face was blurry, but as he approached me, his face went clear.

Sugawara.

I quickly stood up and waved at him. "Why are you out in the rain alone, Y/n?" He said as I chuckled "So do you" he smiled and nodded.

"Well I tend to play outside whenever it rains, but now, I'm old to play with kids. So I decided to sit here and watch the river alone"

Sugawara nod as he listen at my yapping. He sat down beside me, also watching the river. I noticed he wore a black hoodie and sweatpants.

"I never knew I would see you here, Sugawara" I said, smiling slightly.
He chuckled as I felt him stare at me. "I was walking then I noticed you,"

"It wouldn't hurt to approach you right?" He chuckled making me laugh slightly. "It doesn't matter, at least I'm not alone now" I said.

I stood up and looked at him. He was confused. "Let's dance in the rain" he smiled widely and quickly stood up. We danced in a slow pace in the rain, I couldn't feel anything besides happiness and the nostalgic feeling.

"Y/n.. I'd like to confess something" He said, softly smiling. I tilt my head before nodding. We were still dancing together, as he sighed.

"Y/n L/n.. from the moment I saw you, I couldn't feel anything besides this unknown feeling. It was like a tingling feeling in my stomach. I couldn't focus whenever you're here with me. I'm thanking God that I met someone like you. I didn't like you for your looks, but I liked you for being you.

I never knew I would fall in love for the first time in my life, not until I met you. You were the first girl I fell for, you were perfect in my eyes. Where in the crowd full of people, the only person I could see is you. Y/n, the first girl I have ever loved, I like you.. no, I love you.

Y/n L/n, can I have the permission to court you?" He said smiling, I was speechless. I didn't know a guy like Sugawara would like me. I blushed and nodded, I couldn't feel but special. I felt special when he said those words.

I let him court me, as he lift me up to hug me and spin me. We were happy, laughing in the rain. The guy I love finally confessed to me in a rainy Friday night. I could see my future with him, no one else.

Oh, the man you are, Sugawara Koushi.

Saturday Morning

I'm now watching Kimi Ni Todoke in my laptop while eating my cinnamon. I couldn't help but remember when Sugawara confessed to me last night. I blushed at the thought of it, as I run around the room feeling excited that Sugawara is now finally courting me.

I was busy laying on the ground, panting due to me running around. I heard mom shout my name as I quickly left my room to find her.

"Yes ma?" I asked when I reached the kitchen. I saw my mom talking to someone in our door. I couldn't see who it is so I approached.

I saw the guy from last night, Sugawara is wearing a soft clean style. My eyes widen and blush again as I look at mom who is looking at me in a teasing face.

"So this handsome young guy is courting my beautiful daughter? How perfect! Your children would be so cute" my mom said making me stood frozen and flustered in embarrassment.

I heard Sugawara chuckle before handing my mom tulips and also gave me some different kinds of flowers. "For you, Y/n" he said.

I smiled and gently held the flowers. My mom gestured Sugawara to come in as we are now sitting in the living room. I was quiet while mom and Sugawara was having a conversation.

"Miss L/n, can I ask your permission to court your daughter officially? I promise to take good care of her, I will never ever leave a scratch on her. I will treat the first girl I love good, as she deserves the world." Sugawara smiled with sparks in his eyes, my mom was teasing me as she coughed and said in a serious tone

"Of course, I would love you to court my daughter. Please take good care of her until she finally answers you" I heard my mom say making me and Sugawara smile.

Hours of talking

Sugawara left as mom is still teasing me. "I trust that guy, his eyes says it all that he truly loves you. When will you answer him, sweetie?"

I stopped for a moment and said "It depends, ma. But I will wait for months before answering him. I don't want to rush love" my mom smiled at my response before nodding.

Sugawara is now finally courting me officially..
