Lotus' pov
I remember strolling back and forth outside the classroom door where the extra class was supposed to happen. When they were busy discussing whether it was the right class, I was worrying to get home early. And then some said this is the right class, I walked back in, but with you, and that's when I noticed you.
Whether the class there happened or not, I don't know, but I remember fully acknowledging you some other day when you were talking back the prank at someone you liked to be with. That's when I noticed your tall figure, your lean posture and black hairs. It was around November, the longing chills must be spiking back at me.
After some more days went by, we were again in an extra classroom. There are so many moments of us which I can remember by your face at the lighting outside the window. Let it be rainy, sunny, windy or cold, I always remember you sitting by there or doing something insignificant. That day too, you were roaming around, I cannot be mistaken, thinking you were the coolest person in this whole school. Your looks are what get you, right? But I should let that slide for some other day.
I asked you since you were leaning on the bench before me, whether you knew me or not? I still can't figure out what your smile meant when you asked a couple of questions where we could have met. I still want to ask you, but I'll write in here the day I will.
But I figured that question out easily when I asked my long time friend if you were in the same tuition we both went to. She said yes, and I know you now.
You hide like no one's going to figure it out ever. Like a bright feathered bird trying to hide behind the willow. Even on a rainy day, I wonder if I have got to know you enough that I will recognize your tears.
People come and go, but I fantasize whether I want you to be the person to stay or someone I just want to remember as a pretty dream. A dream in which I was behind you, and watched you doing things I have never seen you do because you keep it all so safe. Like if you're buying an ice-cream, I want to notice that soft smile of yours, if you're going back home after a good day, I want to hear that sigh of relief. I would like to know you more that's all I guess.
So, starting from now, I want you to reveal your secrets to me. But you know what I say, that can only come out at times of blowing surprise. I will be with you as long as I notice you're not tired of me.
Let's wait at the ice-cream shop then, shall we?
