Chapter 17

Muzan P.O.V.

       That girl I met, the sibling of my Upper 2, she would be a great asset to my demon ranks.

       She has a strong heart and mind, though. My plan was to find her and mind control her to be a demon.

       But at our first encounter, even under severe stress of finding out that her sibling was a demon, she would not break.

       I even used my most powerful form of hypnosis, using verbal control. She still wouldn't succumb to my control.

       I scowled. How did this little girl, with so much potential, avoid my control?! I had to figure out how to break her.

       I had Nakime working to look at her life, and she had apparently become a demon slayer.

       Never any interesting events happened, but that changed one day.

       In my report from Nakime, Kuraki was seen KISSING a man on a porch. I recognized him.

      He was the man who interfered with my mind control on Kuraki, the first day we met. The only reason I hadn't killed him then was because I was woozy and my movements were slow. That's a downside to the mind control.

       But now they are romantically together? That could be a way to weaken her. Kill the man, and slowly creep into her mind.

       And one day I had the perfect chance. Enmu had infiltrated the Mugen Train, and it was going well. And then Ubayashiki sent the flame-haired man, Kamado and his accomplices, and Kuraki. This was my perfect chance.

       But Enmu was defeated. They were quite powerful. But all of them had sustained injuries, except for the flame haired man. So I sent Akaza, who was nearby, to dispose of everyone but Kuraki. Not like he would kill her anyway, with his stupid "no women" rule.

       A day later, I got a report from Akaza. He had killed the man, but failed to kill any of the others. Weakling! How could he not kill a couple kids?!

       But the plan was set. Sure enough, Kuraki looked empty, like her mind was shattered. I went for her mind.

       I panicked as a jolt of alertness flustered through her mind, but it faded. She must have just thought it was the usual emptiness she felt constantly now.

       Over a few months, I managed to slowly get control. And I set the trap, making her go to a garden at nightfall. I will meet her, and make her my newest Uppermoon.
