As Saiki was getting ready for school, his mind wandered back on the incident from yesterday. There was no way he had fallen asleep on his own, so Saiki already knew it was due to an influence. It was right after Atsuki had grabbed Saiki that sleep was induced on him. Sure, Atsuki had thought about putting Saiki to sleep, but Saiki thought he meant sometime after school. Anyway it was a pain. But at least Saiki got sleep?

As he got on his feet to leave, Kurumi held him back.

"Here, my baby Ku!"

Saiki turned around, seeing his mother holding two coupons.

"They're coupons to the cafe in the town over! Go apologize to that poor boy for bringing you home yesterday!"

Saiki took the coupon, smiling when he saw it was exclusive to the dessert menu.

This is sudden, but oh well.

"Have a great day!" She chirped as he walked out the door. Saiki gave a nod before leaving, turning to open the gate so he could start on his way to school. Walking to school went as normal as usual, his mind bustling with thoughts.

Generally speaking, Saiki doesn't really mind being put to sleep. The timing could have definitely been better though. But knowing Atsuki, that guy probably charmed everyone into thinking Saiki was just exhausted. Saiki wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Still, he didn't understand why Atsuki had put him to sleep like that, and out of the blue too. Thankfully, Atsuki had great crowd control. Speaking of— Atsuki was right there.

"Strawberry," Atsuki greeted, running to join Saiki's side. Saiki nodded, a silence surrounding them as their steps fell into sync. He was thinking about how he could bring up the subject. It seemed he wouldn't have to worry about that as Atsuki had already beat him to it.

Atsuki rubbed his neck. "That was a complete accident. I think I may have subconsciously used my power."

Saiki thought for a moment. "That's strange... I guess it makes sense though. And my mom already explained everything else."

"Oh yeah?" Atsuki said, sneaking a glance toward Saiki. He'd wonder if Saiki's mother told him about the little slip up. If Saiki truly had telepathy— or even abilities, Atsuki would... Well, Atsuki wouldn't even be that surprised. Things like the supernatural never came off as weird to him since he had powers too. And Saiki was just an odd one in the bunch. It's just one of the many things that made the guy so attractive. His odd personality and tastes, and don't even get Atsuki started on his mouth. Not just his pretty lips, but the way he speaks so calmly even in the strangest situations. Maybe powers came with being attractive.

As they continued walking, Saiki adjusted the strap on his bag, feeling the warmth of the sun on his face. The morning light bathed them in a soft glow, easing into the calm atmosphere that surrounded them. Somehow, Atsuki always managed to make Saiki feel comfortable, even when his presence was chaotic and unpredictable. It was like Atsuki's energy balanced out Saiki's reserved nature, pulling him into a sense of normalcy even when Saiki was far from that.

When Saiki and Atsuki had reached the school, they followed their usual routine together before heading to class. Atsuki was chatting away with some classmates while Saiki pulled out a book. When Saiki opened the book, he remembered the coupons in his bag. Deciding it'd be better to ask now than later, he reached into his bag and pulled them out, turning to Atsuki and tapping his shoulder.

"Hm?" Atsuki leaned back in his seat, giving Saiki his full attention.

"My mom gave me these for the cafe in the town over." Saiki held up the coupons. "Do you want to go with me after school?"
